Haven’t played there for a while but I recall some slots not loading from main menu or recent games. As a workaround I manually searched for the slot and for some reason it would load from there. This might still work.

My flaw is multiple deposits if not hitting a 100X+ win early, so I limit my sites and weekly deposits to 20 quid now and value each spin, then go and do something else if the money is gone.

Regal Wins is another that takes 4-5 days to clear with 36 hour reversals, although I have been fairly lucky there it is always tempting to reverse.

Captain Venture no bonus in about 600 spins, only play a few spins now and again because it is such a jenky slot. Not a fan of the high variance slots but Gonzo’s and Immortal Romance can rope me in for 500+ spins at times because the bonus round potential and they can go large in the base.

The general theme of this thread is slots ripping you apart in the short-term, so the assumption is they must be fixed.

I have virtually stopped playing slots because they are too volatile. A juicy win and cashout followed by a big loss a few days later. It is compulsive and even people far brighter than me get drawn in thinking that the slot will hit a big bonus soon because that is what happened before and the RTP must return most of my money.

If the RTP is calculated on all players using the same slot at the same time so it hovers at the 96% mark, you can lose a lot whilst someone else is getting a 500X bonus. This is what varies from old time fruit machines, there weren’t multiple players skewing the RTP.

2.2 million problem gamblers in the UK?? I just flipped through the rest. The guy was really boring and didn’t have a coherent argument. There are always a small amount of people who will gamble too much. They could go in a shop and do their brains on scratchcards.

The good streamers are entertainers and people signup because they like watching them. They are providing a service. It is like saying Premium Sellers on Ebay shouldn’t get paid because they are making 50p on each item they sell.

Just play at another site until the money has gone through. I would get too paranoid about the casino trying to claw my money back, or the slots playing differently once bonus money is cleared. Either way if you are up 200 at one site you can happily lose 50 at another, knowing you are getting a fair mix of the RTP.

Slots only pay out what others have lost indirectly. Someone else probably done really well on Bonanza and thought what a great site Videoslots is. There are so many people playing the same slot at the same time with varying results. The progressive slots really bring it home how difficult it is to be lucky and even win a small pot.

Casino slots on a network can also have their payouts tweaked whilst keeping the RTP. Randomness can be such a long string that poker sites can argue away 3 Royal Flushes happening in a row or 25 consecutive reds in roulette.

I was up for months on PP, signed up independently, and now I am losing on various slots that were paying out. When sites go like this I tend to drop them. Slots are fun, should never put too much faith in them.

Gamblers assume they are betting so much they are entitled to win. I have seen it many times at the racetrack and when my £10 bet loses I can’t assume the jockey didn’t try solely because of my massive punt, whilst others are raging.

I did once have a Chinese fellow in my local bookies invite me to a local casino, which I politely declined. He interest wasn’t only in roulette balls. The truth is many people are after some easy money and will use a search engine. Many sporting events have bookies on site, there are bookies and arcades everywhere and the min stake doesn’t stop gamblers. You can’t protect people enough and when it goes wrong very easy to blame a promoter, at least they give away some decent raffle money.

It is no different to blaming supermarkets for cheap booze and making alcoholics. As a long time ex drinker I have no issue with them doing this. Your demons find you and what happens after that is up to you.

My gambling career has been at least 25 years and slots are the only thing I find compulsive at times. There are some terrible games that draw you in. Dragon’s Luck had me yesterday chasing mega wins with the big coin wild. Immortal Romance is another that promises much but rarely hits.

Cutting down on the number of sites seems a good idea for me. Probably just keeping some bookies sites and with PP and Betfair just self excluding from casino and arcade because I never bet big amounts on sports.

Slots will throw out a 500x type win or bonus after not many spins. The few times this has happened I withdraw my winnings and think briefly how somebody must of done their brains on that game to throw out that win that balanced the RTP. The trouble is I get caught on the other side of the equation doing multiple deposits chasing just one bonus or big win. My self control just goes on a break.

I use the site for some things, mainly different lotto bets and small accas. Good for low stakes and min deposit is only £5. The site is clunky however and not so good for slots on my PC at least.
