Was hard to watch the way that slot shafted him, shoved it’s hand right up his arsehole and played him like a puppet. I have to say though, Bandit, you are one of the luckiest gamblers I’ve ever seen with those reel king recoveries and then that roulette streak at the end, jammy bugger haha I’m chuffed you didn’t suffer a major loss though, think that roulette streak was deserved after playing Spinal Rape.

That would be true if they asked for a ID off both of them to verify that they both are actually together and the card holder gave her permission to make the original deposit, that way they can know that the card isn’t stolen or being used without consent. But by the sounds of it they have just accepted the original deposit and only refused to pay after winning a massive amount, let’s be honest it’s just another casino weaselling out of paying someone. What I don’t get is how they can accept the deposit in the first place as you have to enter the card holders name when you pay with a different card and surely nowadays they should have software in place to see that the cardholders name doesn’t match the account holders name to automatically reject it. As it’s part of their T&C’s there’s not much you can do about it, I’ve heard some casino’s that will begrudgingly pay if both provide ID but it doesn’t happen often and with the amount being 12k….there is no way they will since they have their T&C’s to hide behind.

It’s shocking when they do this and makes my piss boil. Really sorry to hear it mate.

I’ve worked in retail for over 10 years now for both big companies, small franchise chains and independent stores. Each one has different policies but in general it all depends how much you ended up stealing, if it’s a small amount most companies will not prosecute they will just want you out the door however if it’s a large amount (£1000+) then they will probably pursue it. For smaller amounts it’s not worth the time and hassle but I’ve known some independent stores to prosecute for even the smallest amount merely to set an example to the rest of the staff.

Don’t feel too bad about it as long as you have learnt your lesson and try to address the fact that you are clearly a problem gambler. I got the sack from a large supermarket chain in my younger days after going on a staff night out and drinking far to much, got home around 4am and was spewing my guts up, had a quick wash and was in work for 5am on a 12 hour shift. I was single manning the Kiosk at the time and management and most staff didn’t get in till around 6-6:30. I was feeling pretty dizzy and light headed at the time so I ate a Wispa Gold to keep me going with the intention of paying for it on my break as we had to leave all personal belongings in the changing rooms but was spotted and caught on CCTV before my first break so the management whisked me away to the integration room to get a full confession which made me feel like the biggest piece of scum going. Most expensive bar of chocolate I ever paid for when I lost that income haha. Learnt my lesson though, that’s all you can do.

I mean it might work but overall I wouldn’t risk it, I’m sure you’ve read countless stories of Casino’s and sports books trying to find the smallest excuse to get out of paying someone out. How devastated would you be to hit a massive feature win only to be told you won’t be receiving due to breaking terms & conditions. Might I suggest switching to poker or table games.

Yeah, the feature buys can be hit and miss but I feel like they ultimately miss. I honestly felt sick to my stomach watching Bandit doing the Fat Santa feature buys as only a very small amount gave any sort of win and big wins where few and far between with most returning less than £20….biggest con going that Fat Santa feature buy. I normally don’t touch them but on games that are notorious to bonus I’ll occasionally give them a shot.

Is the Alien slot still around? If so I wouldn’t mind seeing The Bandit take down the Queen! 😀 Never seen that slot pay well though.

I hope you follow through with quitting the energy drinks, Bandit. I used to have an addiction to them, would drink at least 3 a day of the smaller ones but when I was playing poker and running deep in a tournament for 10+ hrs I would be chugging them like no ones business. One night I had around 5 of those £1.99 red bulls and a joint and my heart was beating like crazy for hours…lasted so long that it started to hurt and I was convinced I was having a heart attack was so close to calling an ambulance but I try to avoid hospitals like the plague so I just rode it out and it stopped eventually….it did open my eyes though and I started cutting down and now I only have one every once in a while if I’m working long hours although I usually just stick to drinking coffee…I’m probably worse than Will Ferrell’s character in Kicking and Screaming now, when he develops a coffee addiction haha.

    Welcome to the forums!

Can I just ask out of interest that if you have been paying off debts for almost half of your adult life then why are you so stubborn about declaring yourself bankrupt rather than risking your health living on almost no sleep, respect to you for doing it though. Mainly asking as I’ve gotten into debt which will take me a few months to pay off and once it’s paid off I won’t be taking out another loan again, a few months of working similar hours to you is enough for me to have learnt my lesson but I couldn’t imagine doing it any longer than needed.

I haven’t been playing slots long as I normally stick to table games but I’ve been giving it a bit of a bash lately so far out of the games I’ve played I’ve had bonuses every time from Secrets of the stone, Legacy of Egypt and Book of dead although Book usually takes my balance as that’s what I’ve been playing mostly and sometimes it can go a long time without a bonus. The games so far that haven’t given me a bonus would be Jammin Jars and Bonanza I’ve given them both hundreds of spins and not a bean, Jammin gave some decent base wins mind you.

To be honest, I’ve never really understood how fruit machines work other than matching symbols on the reel is a way to win but game above the reels I usually have no clue and I’m just clicking whatever button lights up. I used to go into a kebab shop across the road from where I used to work to grab lunch and once while waiting I threw a squid into the fruit machine inside just to pass the time while they prepared my pizza and spun the reels I must have hit something because all the lights started going crazy….got on to the game above the reels and it was a Pizza themed fruity with a pizza in the middle acting as a wheel as the toppings lit up going around it to the center of it, guess you had to get to the center to hit the jackpot? Not really sure, anyways as I had no clue I was literally clicking buttons, it popped up I’ve won £12 so I just instantly collected it, could have been on for the jackpot if I had a clue what I was doing haha but at least it paid for my food, nothing like a bit of blind luck.

I haven’t used the casino much, I’ve played a few games of computer blackjack and I found that when I bet smaller then I’d win and hit multiple blackjacks as soon as I raise the bet above $10 it seems to hit runner runner 21 when showing 4/5/6 but perhaps I’m just unlucky. I have played poker there also but I feel it’s worst “big” poker site out there…poor tournament selection, terrible interface/software and having to wait over a week for a cash out. Out of all the poker sites with casino’s I would say the best is Party Poker but perhaps thats because I’ve had my biggest wins there.

With Roulette after a big win I’ll spin till I lose unless I have placed a massive bet then I might just walk. With Slots, it depends sometimes I’ll stay for another bonus, sometimes I’ll give it a few spins or run it down to a certain number other times I’ll just move on to another slot depending on gut feeling.

Gunner, I agree with every word you posted, bang on the money.

I think it’s a little naive to come on a gambling forum and expect every post to be sunshine, lollipop and rainbows. It’s a common theme for gamblers to lose only a very small percentage of people will ever get a substantial win and usually that will come from taking a shot, getting ridiculously lucky or playing reckless, occasionally they will have a big win and post it up too but it’s going to happen when they have a bad session, go on tilt and do something stupid. It happens to us all, if it hasn’t happened to you then congratulations but we all make mistakes, we all have different circumstances, mental states and different upbringings but we are all human that makes us prone to mistakes, agreed? So it makes sense that people will ask for advice on a forum filled with gamblers who may have made similar mistakes in the past and might have valuable advice to give or at least be more understanding than people who do not gamble.

I don’t think I have seen a single person on here has up front asked Bandit for money, perhaps you feel that is what they are up to with the way they worded their post but generally when you mess up big time and are panicking, you tend to not think straight and to jump to that conclusion and accuse someone of it is rather insulting and ignorant. Furthermore, Bandit isn’t a fool, he doesn’t need people to be doing this, he’s been gambling long enough to know when people are trying to manipulate him, it comes across as being a brown-noser (hows that for controversy?). Don’t get me wrong, if someone comes on here literally begging for a hand out, by all means, rip them apart but until then try to show a bit of compassion and empathy.

End of the day, if you don’t like these kind of posts then simply do not open the thread or bother replying (they ain’t hard to spot) but remember whilst wearing your rose tinted glasses that there is 2 sides to the coin with gambling and people are going to come here occasionally to either vent or get advice. This is a community and you are not going to like every person on here or every post that is put up, such is life.
