Congrats man just make sure you embrace the sheer luck and great hit you had! Withdraw and protect it.

You only have to look here at what happened if you flushed your last twenty and lost…. aka me this weekend! Brutal. Let it be a reminder of the reality always lurking around the corner!

    Hi,

if online blackjack has a live dealer pulling cards from a shoe, it’s no different than playing in a real casino.

if you are playing a computerised version, the ‘info’ section should tell you how many decks are in play and the cards are drawn by RNG. The play is not pre-determined because you as a player have control over how many cards you choose to take…

    ….but…

the difference between the two is a live dealer has removed the exposed cards for the next hand (until the shoe is replaced), so you can keep track of how many ‘good cards’ are left to be dealt. In the computerised version the exposed cards go back into the mix for the next hand. This still allows basic strategy but any thought of ‘card counting’ is useless

    Great stuff cheers!

Love a bit of insightful knowledge. Never ever thought to check computer Blackjack info page etc so will definately keep that in mind if i have a go next time!

Good stuff Ben thanks for updating us all.

Best of luck with the new place, you’ll get there eventually with one! If you need a shorter term let for now have you tried spareroom.com?

I used to find house shares with 2-4 friendly people in them for £300 including all bills! Maybe £400 at todays rate. I think you can set the search criteria to ‘accepts dss’ too.

I did gambling strategies for my final thesis for my maths degree and to sum it up simply, basic strategy simply lowers the casino edge, but you will be hampered by how many decks the casino use and other players. If you are trying to be at the best odds for yourself you need to play at an empty table with as few decks in use as possible.

Not surprisingly the casino know this, so the fewer the decks they are using, the more the minimum bet is…

in addition, remember online blackjack (the computerised versions, not the live dealer versions) ‘shuffle’ every turn which makes any kind of strategy pointless.

    What an interesting thread!

Your study sounds compelling too, do you happen to know anything more about computerised Blackjack?

I’ve always wondered how the game plays out, for example once you hit DEAL and the game round starts, how are the cards plucked out of the system for you? Is it RNG? Or is it like a slot where the moment you press ‘spin’ a potentially pre-determined visual will unfold for you along a certain path until win or bust.

I love Blackjack live at a land based with a drink, rarely do it online but that may change as i try and ween off the roulette wheel! Not that Blackjack can’t be as harsh….

    Hey Ryan,

I’m struck by your story and even more so by your approach, so honest and open! Congratulations man.

How did you tell the partner about this!? I feel i am at breaking point with mine as i bury more losses under a guise of another lie. Getting fed up of it all now and pushing people away!

    Your post is inspiring.

    Has Pharoes Fortune vanished too?

Used to love that especially in a casino. I hit a feature on a fiver a few times one night in Genting but ohmy…. sad features they were!

Think two of them insta-picked ‘begin feature’ during the reveal bit where you hope to add up spins and multipliers…

    I remember getting mega excited being proper giddy and whabammm…. 4x….whabammm…. 9x…. haha on a fiver… ??

Nice hits. I am not really a fan of reel king myself, used to hate being in the bookies and the pinging going off all the time in the fbots from ither punters.

That being said I do love the Bandit playing them, I guess watching that gamble ladder is great entertainment.

    Haha i feel this…

Trying to lay on a 50p Goals Galore long shot or having a bash on 20p roulette and you can just hear dink dink dink…sigh sigh sigh…. haha.

At least online it has the ladder, i think FOBTs had an awful black or red thing? Glanced it once when waiting for a go on a terminal back in the day when you’d see crowds around someone doing 5p Betfred roulette ?

Had to share this as it was a Bandit inspired session.

Decided to have a crack at Reel King with the ladder.  Deposited £35 on 20p stake and MADNESS ensued…

Topped a ladder for the first time and then I hit 5 SCROLLS for the first time too :-O

Always loved Reel King potty in the arcades, I am a fan of this tonight but not tomorrow morning as this was the one and only time I’m doing that lol

    Congrats dude – very nice!

Never played Reel King once in my life. May have a go soon…

How many goes did it take you to top? I’d hate to get suckered in on lower stakes and end up sweating for it haha but ain’t that half the buzz….

What do 5 scrolls pay, 500x?

    Hmmmmmm

    Dunno man….

If he deposits say, 5k, then give each screen 2.5k each to compete with?

Set it to 10 x 100 auto spins as a maximum to ensure equality in spins…?

Would need a bit of thinking about!

Hopefully providers come out with a new, genuine approach to a game soon but i fear not…

This is such an easy way to keep a game franchise rolling on for a few months/years. in fairness … it is a new system and it can be interesting so you can understand the move, and I’ll admit I kind of like gorilla..but hopefully as you said they don’t just realise a fuck tonne of them in the way megaways went and change nothing about it game to game ..but there’s no pressure to do so because it’s a megaways game and like flies on shit people group around these games keeping them popular…

Hopefully we see it played or try it ourselves soon and can pass on the good or bad review!

I’ve not touched Gorilla Gold yet… i guess I’d feel proper.hooked in or committed to it if i started, all them screens whirring away!

May bash a go on small stakes with a strict limit. I’ve seen a lot of huge wins on GGold
