@haz40 that wasn’t aimed at you, I have seen what you’ve done and it’s admirable but unfortunately that sort of thing is the minority lately. I stand by my point, ignoring or advocating behaviour that leans towards abusing or taking advantage of a vulnerable person in the middle of a crisis is shocking. Regardless of which member it is. Many might disagree but I don’t think those comments or actions should have a place here. Speaks volumes the post was removed, he has previously demanded others be held accountable for their actions so why is he a law unto himself.

Thats the last i’ll say on it as I don’t want to drag it up and over again, just wanted to clear up it wasn’t aimed at you and those are my thoughts on the issue.

So all that’s been achieved is we have proved tgc’s point from yesterday about our forum. That will do for me then. Peace out

I understand it’s ‘hassle’ in the broad term of the word but compared to selling your stuff, begging relatives for money, not being able to afford to live, I wouldn’t say it’s more hassle than that.

Not kicking off, just stating someone trying to get £500 from a person who has mentioned considering suicide in their original post is pretty dodgy stuff. Surely we aren’t all just going to ignore that and act as if it’s okay?

Because it’s shameful, taking advantage of someone who is vulnerable. The guy with the ring was a business deal, he wasn’t on his arse broke with no other choice, he wanted to make a deal not desperate for money for food to live on. Using that desperation to get yourself £500 is shocking.

You say it used to be a good place for banter but all you have done is prove tgc’s point in yesterday’s argument. Problem gamblers get support there, here they are abused and taken advantage of by people like you. I’m afraid the problem is not those of us willing to give advice and enjoy the forum but those much like yourself out to seek personal gain from it.

The comments been removed now, but he said he’d take 500 for putting him in touch with someone who would buy it, to pay for his energy bills ?

I can’t decide, last night I needed guinea to win for last team on a 5 fold, only 50 back. 1-0 got offered 31 was tempted but felt it should have been more. Let it run and they drew, now kicking myself for not taking the 31, not big money but the premise pisses me off. I feel whatever I do it’s destined to end the opposite way and leave me feeling shitty. So try and ignore most the time.

As winningbird said gamstop isn’t that much hassle, a lot less hassle than begging relatives or selling stuff if it’s got that bad. Defo get yourself back registered.

As for benq taking 500 for putting you in touch with someone who will buy it is shady as fuck. Praying on someone in a vulnerable position for your own personal gain is disgusting. Should be ashamed of yourself.

Hope you get it all sorted and get on gamstop

Nice win, did it put purples everywhere or was it a series of decent hits? Got to admit that’s one thing bgt have done very well, the thrill when top symbol starts appearing is unreal, just because how high it pays

Shit man that’s a tough one to take. Only thing I can suggest is see if they have an affiliate who can put a word in. Fruity slots managed to get nearly 20k (I think 19, might be wrong) for someone who had broke bonus terms but they managed to get involved and the women got her money. Not sure the exact details but they helped, just took a very long time.

    Feel for you though mate

This thread seems to have gone a little off topic.

However, eightblack regardless of gamstop being great or not, the fact you signed up is the first big step. It shows your have realised a problem and are actively trying to sort it. Hopefully gamstop helps but the realisation part will be the big difference in your success, gamstop will hopefully only be a fall back on the dark days. Most days you will manage it on your own, if you had the will power to sing up, you have the desire to quit. Well done mate, genuinely one of my favourite members on here so I really hope it works and can’t wait to see how you put the extra money to use

Well done mate, best thing to do, give yourself some time to get shit straight and come back to it when it’s more comfortable and controllable. I find it so much easier to control now adays than I did when I didn’t have a pot to piss in, like it was a fix to my problems rather than a fun outlet to maybe win a little extra. Make sure the first time you find yourself with few extra pennies you treat yourself to something you wouldn’t have before. That way a tangible item will reinforce the feeling of achievement.

    Well done mate

They are stupid expensive, it’s hard to buy new especially when it’s difficult to find 4/5 hours every week for a round, let alone range time.

Mine are all fairly old, around that sort of time, saving for some new stuff but trying to have few lessons aswell as I don’t have official handicap at min, usually go round between 18-20 over so hopefully some new clubs and few lessons will help.

Playing with blades is very tough, I used a set a while back, not forgiving at all, hopefully your misses reduce with new forgiving clubs

That’s awesome mate, great to hear. Hopefully the new clubs work out for you. I’m saving for a new driver but the price of them these days is insane. I wouldn’t mind but I can’t even hit the thing straight with a driver most the fucking time ?

    do you have a handicap?
