I was wondering this my self, what stops someone else from signing up in your name if they know all your personal info.

I dont know what documents etc they ask for but surely if it’s only one form of ID which could be easily accessible to someone else in the same household how could you then even prove it wasn’t you?

Something else I’ve always wondered as well if someone was to sign up to gamstop for 5 years, but within that time got married got a new surname, moved town got a new phone number/email etc would that person then be able to open up new accounts with any casino and be undetected?

I work in a bank dealing with credit card charge backs mainly  mastercard and visa and we will not charge back any gambling/trading transactions unless you could prove you did not receive a service. The only charge backs we can do with trading is for example you were to deposit but wasn’t able to trade, the merchant would then have to provide evidence that you did. We get  lot of these disputes with people depositing on to fake trading sites and 9/10 times we cant help. I have also never personally done a charge back for any gambling transaction, we will always sent an unable to assist letter.
