Hi everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Been meaning to post this for a while as thought it was an interesting topic……what tells are there on slots?

The most obvious one is the Montezuma (original) where the circle appears on the multiplier symbol which indicates that spin is a win.

The old Rhino when the first diamond drops it makes a different noise

I’ve watched Dazza G occasionally and he seems to think on the Bonanza Bonus he can tell if a spin is a win or not based on how fast the reel spins

I’ve also noticed on Millionaire (not the box one) that when you win the reels drop smoothly

Is anyone else aware of any signs that you’re about to win on a spin??

I’ve played literally millions and millions of spins on Bonanza .. even more than Dazza..

And I can confirm his theory .. on some sites the spin speed is a tell if it’s a win or not..

There is a slot called “big banker slot” i think its only on coral and ladbrokes, you can tell if the bonus is going to land if you can see the last scatter symbol in one of the positions on reel 5 ( symbols only on 1,3,5) as you get the second scatter land for the tease.

The bonus pays the 500x quiet often also the 12× gamble lands more often than youd think from a good starting point too ive had many £20 wins roll in that have then hit the 12x gamble would love to see it at a higher stake that i would play on which is £2 max ?

Dazza G has no idea what he’s on about. The speed of the spin is determined by the roundtrip time in getting a server response, which is worse on some casinos than others or at different times of day. Some slots do have tells though (not that they are any practical use) – for example on Novomatics, you can usually tell if a bonus is about to hit because the spin will sort of jitter slightly before it lands (though annoyingly Captain Venture will also do this on some missing teases). Similarly, on their Book of Ra games if you see the book going past on the reel about to land during a tease, you’re not hitting it.

Sadly these sorts of things are just minor glitches in behaviour, there’s nothing you can use to your advantage other than perhaps to know you’re about to get a bonus a fraction of a second before you see it land.

I’ve heard a few people say theres a tell on drive (netent). Something to do with the reels going grey when the scatter lands. I dont pay much attention, so I cant really remember the exact tell. It could have been updated since ?

I reckon 98% of the time he does call it, even though he’s a moaning Victor Meldrew prick I think there are some legs to it.

Personally I prefer to see a tell, for some reason the circle on Montezuma makes me more entertained!

I noticed a brief pause in jamming when the bonus lands also on razor.

on BTG I have also noticed the pause danger high voltage if the scatters drop fast in the first 2 reels it usually drops a third.

Ecuador gold, usually takes 7 spins to have your first win in the bonus. Also with Cygnus if the x”s land in first 3 spins bringing the multiplier up to x16 it will be a dud bonus.

If the 1st bonus symbol on voodoo gold lands in the middle instead of allways the left it means it will bonus also has a brief pause before the spin rolls out.

Santas wild ride not a definite one but if the scatters 3 of them roll in more than twice during bonus, once that bonus is finished usually a bonus will follow soon after, however it will usually be fuck all.

Avalon original usually if the scatters land on 1st 2 reels your guaranteed a 3rd to drop in.

Dazza G was revealed to be a fake, so I would recommend not watching his videos. He’s also annoying as fuck.
Jake Fraser, the moderator at RockNRolla’s stream pointed this out: How come Bonanza never starts at 34300 megaways on any of Dazza G’s videos? Cus it happens to me on every single casino, every single time I open Bonanza, that’s the default screen. It also ALWAYS shows G O L on the screen, but Dazza always starts his videos with the autospin tab covering the board, so you don’t see anything but the megaways, and it’s never 34300 for him. He also seems to get a shitload of bonuses on a 100x stake starting balance, something I can assure you that after a million spins on the game, rarely happens.

As for the tells, I know there’s a tell on Jack & the beanstalk (NetEnt). After landing 2 scatters, the 3rd scatter sound will come before the remaining reels are done spinning if the bonus is landing. Useless tell really, but it’s a tell anyway.

Bonanza seems to have a tell wherever the game response time is slower than on other sites – Spins will land faster and cascades while having a tease (G O L) on the screen will immediately start flashing if the cascade is gonna give you a win or the D. This is not accurate for all sites though.

Anyway, like @argyl53 said, there’s no point in these tells. You can’t use it for your benefit. Also, Dazza G is a fucking twat.

I also find this one a bit odd, from Dazza G’s latest Bonanza video. How did the screen turn out to look like this? I have never seen this happen. How is the D in the bottom right, underneath the L? How do you land the D before the L? This fucker never shows what casino he’s on in his Bonanza sessions either. I just don’t believe him for a fucking second. Dazza is a scammer.

Yeah I noticed this his megaways were 27000 before he got kicked out of the game when he reloaded it the megaways were 34300 plus the gold symbols had switched about. And his balance was the same.

Man that’s some fried gold ass shit …….it’s fucking hard not thinking its dodgy …. but I have a feeling if that d and l landed at the same time (because reel 6 is empty ) it can shuffle the order because they both land together anyway…. but still if not that’s pretty weird

I’ve seen this happen on at least one version of the game; it doesn’t land like that, but after the bonus ends and it takes you back to the base game screen there’s a glitch where the scatters “reset” to be in the correct letter order from left to right.
