Ever thought about a Debt Relief Order mate?

If you are drowning in debt, don’t let it overcome you. Get yourself down to Citizens Advice and ask for a DRO.

It’s only a year long, you stop paying all your creditors and after a year you are a debt free man. Don’t spend years in Debt Management Plans that do not work. You will forever be in debt with them.

It literally takes an hour or two to be all set up and you don’t need to worry about it anymore. You keep all your wages and just be sure not to make applications for credit for one year

Responses are really kind. Given me a smile of the kind comments it really has.

I just feel I owe the money and should pay it, on the flip side sadly I’ve tried getting help with all this for my mental state and the fact is I struggle getting help as it’s all financial and I know it. Sadly I worry, cry and panic all the time over my debts, all day every day literally. Yet on the flip side I really don’t care about my life anymore, and haven’t done for some time. Realistically I think it’s the fact I just don’t have a social life anymore and haven’t done for years. I sometimes message a mate and they’re off out somewhere and I could only dream of getting new clothes let alone going out. Like I said I took a tab to have a few drinks that I can’t even afford to pay. Just the fact all I’m doing is just existing hurts

Maybe you should just look into what monito said in his post, it sounds like it could be a good solution, you can’t be stuck in this mindset cause let’s face it killing yourself is clearly an option for you but you need to try every other option before that one, no coming back from that. There is help out there, gotta use it

When you go to bed tonight let that be the last time your mind thinks the way it is now… Fuck the money means nothing it’s just paper and digits its what you are inside or to others that defines who you are .. You sound like a hard working man … That’s a positive . Half the dossers in this country haven’t got a day’s work in them, it just sounds like you’ve got yourself into a rut try to changes little things… Put some music on when you wake up it helps trust me . Try to train your brain to be positive. everyday is a new adventure and most importantly talk to people communication might lead to a better job, a new friend, or hobbie not everyday is dark trust me I’ve been to lowest place and after you come out better and stronger .. When I was learning the sales game I was taught that every rejection was a step nearer an acceptance – try to adopt that mindset – as Mr Blue Sky wakes you up each morning you are one day closer to being free of this debt that is having such a profound effect on you. That kind of positivity is not in itself a solution but it can carry you a long way – in sales it often carried me to the next deal.

Real whiskers. I have been in your position although I do have an occasional 20£ deposit here and there. I completed my debt management plan and it wasn’t without struggle, multiple deferred payments and shit loads of tears.

 

It it feels like the struggle will never end, but it will mate and that I promise, I’m not well off, not in the slightest, got a pregant mrs and a mortgage to pay.

The client I work for hadn’t paid me since November, everyone needs help at some point mate.

I got a partial payment today, from the clients company, and I’d be happy to pay your first payment. But after this please get the amount due sorted.

We all get in positions like this, we all struggle and we all feel like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel, but there is mate.
