But what if it never starts ? That’s no concern of the hierarchy it seems.
The shite side of gambling… so this is for all who have experienced a new casino or session that just never pays.

Someone might find this tasteless but I think, aside from it being a touch funny, highlights the side of gambling that the industry clearly doesn’t give a flying f*ck about. When Joe Bloggs smashes up Ladbrokes because he went in with a grand and never won anything for the FOBT to tear him a new one… and then he is met with the slogan “When the fun stops, stop”. For people like him, it never started. Yet people are mocking him, judging him and he also gets locked up. We all get tilted….. some people can’t handle it and I for one know it can mess with your head. It can ruin lives, smash up families. The industry doesn’t give a damn though, heck some gamblers don’t.

Please only play with what you can afford to lose. Consider it gone before you play it. Think about what that means to your living conditions, before you pay.

FYI This is NOT a dig at Bandit or anyone else. I have nothing but love for one and all. Just felt like doing this.

I think this slogan is more catered to sports betting, in my own opinion. Completely valid points made, and while it’s sad to see, I am proud of those who smash up the bookies and FOBTs.

I find the phrase quite odd. I would look up to the sign staring at me when I was emptying my wallet in to a FOBT and thinking they don’t really want me to stop do they. Most of these bookies make their money from addicts, they ain’t too interested in someone doing the odd tenner in there. They are purposely made to be highly addictive and then they say to stop.

Strange how the focus is all on the player, not the provider of temptation. Which is why I support, in some way, those who lose it.

Yea it’s somewhat satisfying, isn’t it? I recommend anybody with a gambling problem to go into their local place and just smash everything. You will be barred from all establishments for life. FOBTs and slots aren’t that hard to smash. If for example, one gets a proper angry head brewing and smacks the middle of the screen with their fist, the whole dam thing will smash and their hand will be full of glass. They will be barred but no fines/prosecutions or anything of that nature.

is the mantra i go by when gambling though I know that the mindset is impossible to some. My mates girlfriend was playing slots and amassed a nice little pile of money and he was telling her to bank at least some of it but she just kept spinning and fed it all back in. Her attitude about the whole thing was so weird though, its like she didn’t care and the winning of money to her was just a side effect of spinning the reels and she wasn’t interested in making anything of it.

Anytime I’m in a bookies these days I see young lads playing these fucking things, all the old school including myself had had our fingers burned and steer clear. Roll on April and throw these bastard FOBts off a cliff somewhere.

I can kind of relate to this, its as if the win per spin is irrelevant and I’m just spinning for the sake of spinning regardless of the outcome.

As degenerate as it sounds, sometimes i’ve deposited and got complete satisfaction from watching my balance deplete to zero.

This is when you know you have a problem.

This is the sign of a degenerate compulsive gambler. For some it doesn’t matter how much they have won even if they withdraw they will throw it all back in at some point, they may have started for entertainment and to try get lucky and make a bit of extra money but it eventually gets to the point where they just want the fix of adrenaline and dopamine you get from hitting a big win. Casino’s love players like this, sometimes you have to play smart and just withdraw your original deposit back and play with the winnings but not many people do this. I find it interesting that Paul (Rolla) even in times of utter degening that he occasionally has the smarts to withdraw and block himself after a big win that recoups all of his losses for the session because I’m very similar and the temptation to go on and try double it is very hard to shake sometimes!

Playing slots should always just be for entertainment. If you are playing to try and win you are doing it wrong
