Hey guys, I’m not going to mention the name of the casino in question as I am on Gamban or Gamblock or Gamstop, (I forget the name) but somehow I managed to become a member and deposit money into this site. I often have relapses from my gambling addiction unfortunately, and this was one of these times.

 

This was on Wednesday and I somehow managed to win a significant amount of money and left some cash in my account after making a withdrawal. I went through all the usual dramas to get the withdrawal, I.D, bank statements, proof of address, first pets name, capital of Peru, amount of money I have in my pension etc etc, and even spoke to them on the phone for phone verification.

 

 

So eventually all these steps were accepted and passed and they said my account was verified, on Saturday evening… But here’s the issue, my withdrawal is still pending 5 days after withdrawing the cash and also still reversible so it hasn’t even been processed to head to my bank yet.

 

I’ve ended up with even more money in my account than I withdrew now and am desperate to take this out also, but of course, you aren’t allowed more than one withdrawal at a time at this site, so I would need to cancel the withdrawal to add to it, and wait another X amount of days.

 

I launched their live chat 3 or 4 times and they closed the chat a couple of times on me and another couple they told me they can’t give me any time frame at all on how long it will be until my withdrawal is processed.

 

I don’t suppose anyone has any advice do they, as I’m starting to think the site is a scam and I won’t be seeing any money at all…

I meant to say, please don’t let your advice be that I shouldn’t sign up to and deposit on scammy scummy casinos. I know how wrong it is but when the addiction takes over, nothing gets in the way of me finding somewhere online ??

Had a read on their site there mate. They are a company from Curaçao with their office based in Cyprus. Sounds pretty damn iffy ???

 

If nothing else, hopefully this experience encourages me never to go down this avenue again, even when I do have an extreme urge to gamble. It’s a lose lose scenario pretty much every time!

I don’t recall ever hearing about a good story involving a curaçao licence… they tend to be dodgy arseholes. Fortunately I have no personal experience.

Curacao sites are known to be arseholes. The terms and conditions for wagering and playing with bonus money are scandalous. I would personally self exclude from the site now, and tell them you want the money in your bank account asap. I understand it’s hard stopping the relapses, but when they happen you need to self exclude from their whole company. New casinos pop up all the time, but seemingly from the same companies. I recommend you get in contact for your money and close self exclude for good.

Some curacao sites are arseholes. However with regulation issues its going to be more and more popular a licence.

The reason you don’t use Curacao casinos as a means of bypassing Gamstop is exactly because you end up in this situation “I won but they won’t actually give me the money”

Maybe they pay you if you’re lucky but you have no practical recourse as a UK player if they don’t, because the UKGC does not have jurisdiction.

funny enough I was born on Curacao. I live in Canada now but was thinking about moving back and becoming an affiliate . Living there and knowing some of those involved im sure it would make a difference for me to represent my future players. from what I know this year a bunch of new laws were passed there holding casinos responsible not sure if its on the tax end or on the player end though. either way ive heard a few times about them being scammy but they couldn’t dick me around if I was there…im not the guy who gets dicked around on the island lol.

There are indeed new laws. To be in some markets you need a Curacao licence, and all game providers get the licence also.

The only risk is will the casino pay you. Best choice for that is to check larger forums and big affilaite sites. The huge ones wont promote a scam casino.

As for gamban. ok dont post it. Can you email it someone so I can check? Its 0.5% possible its one of ours, if it is i can find the holdup for you. But i highly doubt it as we dont accept UK on our in house ones, its possible a build we did will accept it, but i can still see the back office and sort it.

Got a dissapointing update, I’ve squandered all the money in my account as I couldn’t make another withdrawal, bit silly but at least I haven’t reversed the withdrawal (which is still sitting pending) as long as I get that I’ll be happy.

 

I’m also sitting 2nd in a tournament that finishes tomorrow evening on the site for which the prize is €1500, judging by the leaderboard, it’ll be nigh on impossible for me to finish lower than 5th place which is still €750 so if I can pick up one of these prizes and my withdrawal ever gets approved I’ll be mildly satisfied.

 

winningbird, thanks for the advice, I’ll certainly be sending an email to close my account after this saga is complete, I don’t want to do it now I case it makes them more likely to not pay out (as they’ll figure they won’t be able to get it back…)

 

I’ll keep you guys updated if there’s any update after this pending withdrawal into day 7 now.
