Hello sorry this might seem like a weird place to come to, I’m going through hell because my gambling addiction took over my life and now I’m rock bottom I have lost my relationship home and all my savings I currently have a couple of days left on my friend sofa i suffer from severe panic disorder and agoraphobia so I’m really scared about being homeless I’ve been sat all morning thinking they is only one way out but I’m to scared to even do that I don’t have any family or friend and could really do with someone to just chat to

Can’t help but think a reply to the lads actual post would have been better rather than taking a swipe with a shitty comment but there you go. In fact, your comment probably stopped people replying, hope you are proud of that.

OP – there are plenty of places you can call to speak about anything that is troubling you mate, the NHS have a gambling helpline on 0808 8020 133 and they also offer face to face counselling. There will also be people on here that have been in similar situations or are in a similar situation, it would just be a case of waiting for them to reply on here.

I’m sorry to hear of your situation @routlem and didn’t want to read and then run.

The Samaritans (116 123) is a good starting point as they deal with all sorts of emotional issues.  They’ll listen to your problems will be able to signpost you to a service that is local to you.

Regarding the 2nd post, the Bandit did promote Gamban a few years ago and it is still a link at the top of every Backinamo page, but @Jimbo183 is kinda right in that the Bandit is mainly here as a content creator.

I hope you get the help that you need.

@routem I will echo imperialdragon and say please contact the Samaritans. http://www.samaritans.org. 116 123. They are really good at what they do and will help you build up from this low point in your life. As bad as it is now you’ll be ok.

It’s TRUE your website literally glamourises gambling as if it’s all sun shine and rainbows but in reality it’s far from the truth, how would my comment stop people from commenting when literally no one commented until i did?? I wasn’t taking a swipe at the guy who originally commented it was more aimed at you and the fact you literally glamourize gambling and are now using a crypto site that has no uk regulations I read a comment on one of your forums about a guy that has been on gamban for over 2 tears but caved in and used your crypto site and lost 4 k after all that hard work of getting his life back on track and no one replied to that so how does that make YOU feel?

Hey @routlem

By the sounds of it, you’d realised you had a problem in 2019 after binning your life savings and threw yourself on Gamstop, first of all get yourself back on that!

All I can suggest is to echo what others and say that there’s always another option than the dark thoughts. Get the Samaritans on the phone, I think you can even text them if you don’t want to talk.

The NHS option that bandit suggested is amazing if you can get yourself onto it, give them a call and see if you can!

Keep in touch on here when you can, or if you want to talk privately away from the forum (you might find the gambling chatter difficult) and then I can relay to the forum how you’re doing. I’m always about on the hellsite that is twitter @xbobmad

Thank you everyone I have had a call with my doctors yesterday morning and had a phone call with our local mental health team in the afternoon so feeling a bit better mentally just got to start working towards getting my life back on track and hopefully get my relationship back time to take some responsibility I don’t have any money atm but I’ve put a block on my bank from gambling signed up to gamban and calling it a day on gambling

You can start by asking your bank to block all access to gaming sites and deposits ( which they can do only by request ). Next is gamban and gamstop to block access to gambling sites. you cannot gamble if you have no access. Next ask for ground casinos/ arcades and bookies to put you on their isense database as a problem gambler and request access to stop (use picture ). contact samaritans/nhs gambling helpline and stick with it regardless of how much you want to gamble. Talk to someone as that can help and gamblers anonymous can help too.
