Just done balls in of £300 in arcade fella next to me low and behold won £500 I really hate arcades right now can’t tell the Mrs as she would have a fit £200 was for bills why do we do it we just chase and chase until broke no self control from me in a bad fog of haze now arrrrrrrgh least I’m banned from online play.

Sorry to hear this. It happens to us all at some point or another. I know its not going to help you now, but maybe you should tell your wife, and set up a separate bank account for bill money or one for spending money. This way, you can only lose what you have spare. I’m guessing the bank accounts in your name rather than a joint account, meaning she wouldn’t be able to see the transactions without seeing the bank statements. Good to see you’ve blocked your self from playing online. I know it’s easy for me to say, but think how you feel now the next time you want to go into an arcade. Hope you’re ok

i should of put it on the golf like u did bandit would of been £1800 return I’ve never won more than £600 in 21 years of gambling has screwed me up for my bills we learn I suppose the hard way

Hindsight is a great thing,done my balls in at arcades more times than i like to to remember,played at them for many years,same with pub slots,i use to be the loser friend that basically sat on the fruity all night while everyone else was having fun,spunk all my money then have to borrow off friends just to get more pints…sad times lol

Remember going to a casino and they used to pretend to play machine behind and as soon as you fuck off for a smoke or a drink, they get on it like their zimmers have grown rockets ?? honestly never seen old people move so fast as I have in a casino or arcade hahaha!

I reckon the vast majority on here were members of the “lend us 20 til payday” brigade mate….. That’s me through and through too.

Unfortunately i did the same quite a few times after signing up to gamstop then visiting arcades. They are awful places with abysmal rtp’s. I hope it’s something you knock on the head and don’t return anytime soon.

Arcades should ban fruit machines and stick to the 2p pushers. I wouldn’t mind the £5 jackpots back but these 25p-£1 fruits and the FOBTs are rip offs. Arcades are meant for kids in my opinion… if adults want to gamble, then they should go to a casino haha.

I visited the arcades at Yarmouth for the first time in years yesterday and they really have changed, games with 70% rtp!! Loads of bookies slots in the casino section, but there are very little in the way of normal slots even the fiver jackpot slots are poor?  I was hoping to find a few old favourites maybe a old barcrest or two. But no luck, half the arcades are full of ticket machines that you can exchange for rubbish. There was a few of the original party times slots that are still fun but overall a bit disappointing
