It seems all you hear on the news and the radio is that the gambling commission is not doing enough on monitoring online casinos, and making people aware, they have banned credit cards excellent choice, they have made it if you join a new casino you need to prove your wealth or source of income.I have always gambled, I am not a big gambler average spend £20-£40 pounds a week, but I know my limits, like most people do,I know it is a addiction, and has ruined life’s but haven’t a lot of things, smoking, drinking even down to eating sweets and junk food, and their is help for all of these things, I go out and earn my money pay tax, pay my mortgage and support my wife and children, it just seems the government want to stop it totally, would they be different if it was taxed like horse racing use to be. Just wondered what other people think, are the government trying to dictate what we can or can’t spend our money on ?

I felt that way then they stopped bonus buys , I sat there going “ fuck, I don’t have A gambling issue, I earn good money ….what the fuck “ do I think the government what to stop it?, no , certain politicians ? Yes… and whilst there will be stories about families struggling because of gambling then the topic will always be seen as a leech on society ( which it is)

but it is in the end about the social grater good, And I feel that more will happen to limit any one persons potential in the next few months, I might not agree with the choices being removed  but I understand why…and I sympathise with any person struggling, and am ready to listen to anybody who’s needs a shoulder … but like most things, sugar tax and stuff, The whole  group must change to help the individual to address their  issues ….and maybe that’s a change we should support even if it feels unfair

Its all a bit stupid now. I cant imagine them bringing in the £2 max online. I can imagine a max stake until SOW checks have been completed, im fully ok with that. Im also behind banning fake accoutns and funded accounts and whatever else will stop 80% of streamers flogging some crap. I spoke to the CEO of a company today in gaming who makes slots, who said “What the hell, you are playing for real?”. Kind of sums it up.

The EU needs to come to a baseline gambling act. This will confirm taxation per player distrcit,a nd confirm legal rights that all countries abide to in the form of gambling. A single source system would work here. Licences can be by a major joint unit from UK/SWE/MGA/GER/whoever else and combine to commit to their simplified systems. The actual frameworks arent that different. ITs the platform changes you have to do for each one thats annoying. Some needs specific restriction rules, some need popups, some need seamless wallets, some need all kinds of things.

    Simplify, profit, move on.
