Pretty sure this is the ideal when playing slots, playing within your means, the money has less value to you and if you busto its an amount you can afford to lose.
This is how bandit can justify his big losses/deposits. Its not that there’s a disregard for the value of the money but the amount being lost is acceptable/affordable and possibly sustainable(?) for him.
This will obviously be different amounts for different people also.
