This will be subjective so I’ll be expecting different answers.  Eye of Horus and Donuts were historically a bugger to bonus for me, but at least I have bonused them now.

The 2 impossibilities for me in 2022/23 are Big Bamboo and Max Megaways.

I have put over £500 into Max Megaways on 40p or 60p stake and not even a gamble (25X) chance of the feature. At least with other BTGs of the same era (Golden Catch, Pirate Pays, Wild Flower etc) I have been able to bonus them. Outlaw is cutting it fine, but I have managed to bonus that once too.

Big Bamboo drops in 3 scatters, but what is the point in having 3 scatters when the 3rd one always grey-rocks? I’ve had scatters grey-rocked me 8 times out of 8 the last time I played it.

A number of games never seem to bonus, but one I’ve been playing lately is obscene-Reapers by Relax Gaming. I got a bonus on it the first time I played it, but since then I’ve done 2 x £500 deposits (all on 50p play!) and I havent even got close to a bonus. I then headed over to their website where you can play for fun and did 1500 spins. Once I got to the end boards but then binned off. It’s a shame because it’s such a unique game and I really enjoyed it…but defo one to avoid!

I’ve never had the bonus on Gold by btg and I really stuck out the grind. It’s been on the ban list for years, I still don’t know what the bonus does lol

Yeah I agree with max megaways, and bamboo rocked me so much I’ve stopped, but the one game I’ve never bonus is the bank one the bandit likes, when you need the robbers across the middle…. And that’s a fucking old game as well, so bandit if your ever feeling generous, wouldn’t mind you having a go and giving me all the thousands it’ll never give ….

Just an update on this-did 3000 spins on the Relax website last night…two sniffs of ‘nearly’ a bonus. I also found that for 450x you can buy the top feature…but there’s a chance you won’t get to the bonus round. First time I’ve ever seen a bonus buy not actually give a bonus! Its a great game…but avoid at all costs!

@Srx23 – that’s brutal about the bonus buy not guaranteeing a feature.

Barcrest had a name for this.  It was called big bet spins.  For £20, £30 or £50, you could buy a set of 5 base-game spins with a certain modifier / mechanic which may or may not give you the feature.  Barcrest examples were Ooh Aah Dracula, Legend of the Pharaohs, Jewel In The Crown and at least one of the Rainbow Riches variants.

You can still play big bet spins online because they didn’t get outlawed.  I know this because I tried 3 x £20 big bet buys on Legend of the Pharaohs on Video Slots 6 weeks ago and not a sniff.  Yet you can’t buy a White Rabbit for £20, £30 or £50 which guarantees you a feature.

I hope the UKGG is reading this, as I’m calling this out as an inconsistency in the Gambling Act.

But the worst slots for me are BTG slots

You mentioned not being able to bonus Gold by BTG.  It’s one of their earlier slots, around 2013 or 2014 and it’s a typical 5×3 affair.  From what I can remember, the feature is 12 or 15 free spins with all wins x 3, so very much like Lady Lady’s Charm (Astra / Novomatic) or Madame Destiny (Pragmatic).
