Just to flip this a bit, all this attempted character assassination going on. You say about an addicted gambler taking their own life, what about if all this bullshit causes someone like say chipmonkz to take his own life. What happens then?

Then it has gone full circle and only you have trivialised or disregarded any part of it. What next, you will assume the goal is to see more hurt and suffering ? That would be entirely backwards to the very core reason these debates exist in the first place.

The question you don’t want to see :

Has “x” streamer encouraged a suicide ? – yea a horrific thought. Troll delete ban. That solves the problem.

Gambling suicide is very real and not the only problem that exists from gambling. Yea, let’s start with that and look at those who have the most to gain, to make change. To look at solutions. I am pretty sure for example that Bandit has the least effect and influence because he, unlike some, paints a true picture. So we know bandit isn’t the character in the target for assassination so why don’t you want this debate ? Surely you can only have something to gain by shutting it down.

I have great admiration for bandit and will, for different reasons but I have a serious concern about the life of “punters”, and fake influence over the masses. People like Roshtein, Chipmonk and so on, couldn’t care less about any damage. Silence everyone. Delete and ban. Bandit cares 100% about any damage. I will maintain right now that bandit hasn’t ordered you to come and fuck this up.

Ask yourself this xbob. Is this about shaming and making people look bad or enforcing that caring about damage ? Reply 100% not required.

The whole fake streamers conversation is a good one to have, I’m sure thanks to threads addressing it, it means more people look at certain streamers with a raised eyebrow, and I think a high 80-90% know to take the videos with a pinch of salt based on the threads or comments  they read.
im sure like me, most people just get tired of reading about “ fake” streamers and the trouble they have caused.

I can’t believe why the fuck people are watching rosh??? I can not fathom what enjoyment people get watching a hat with a person growing out of it, yet they do. Like kardashians some believe its real and become hooked and others know it’s fake and just want to get lost in another world, and there are people like me who’d rather blow torch my nipples off than watch that shite …

the sad part of this is all streamers fake or not, chip to bandit have a hand in somebody turning to gambling or doing their nut in because of what they watch. That’s just obvious, it’s a side effect of videos, Clearly there is a difference between bandits videos and rosh ( bandits videos are are several leagues different from the nicks and chips which is why I watch him)  but for arguments sake bandits videos could cause and addict to “itch” as much as a chip video, the real / fake aspect doesn’t matter  to somebody who wants a go…. How many people on these forums have said they were on GameStop and were so desperate to spin they went to the hell of casinos to play..even being in a forum has had people dip their toes back into gambling just from the conversations they are reading

so i think we need to stop saying “ this is bad and this is good” it’s more helpful and healthy to say it’s  all bad regardless of who your watching, an addict will get into the shit watching chip just as easily as watching rolla…because like smoking no matter how horrific the images and warnings it will never be enough to stop some people, like food and alcohol, gambling will always have people who take it to the extreme and that’s an aspect you’ll never change regardless of how many roshes you post about being fake…I’m guilty of it, every time I post a big win picture or say “ hey have you checked this game “ yeah it’s not fake money but I’m making people curious through my actions..

there will always be legitimate streamers and fake streamers, legitimate car sales men and fake sales men, legitimate estate agents and fake ones, the best weapon we have to help people is common sense, offer the information we know and hope it changes one mind out of a hundred that certain streamers are best avoided, because changing that one mind is a win…

this conversation is always a good one to have, and we need to remember if we’re in this forum we all have similar views on these topics, and those views with bandits realistic play can open a few eyes….

And to anybody on here who is in trouble or feels suicidal, don’t be embarrassed, there’s help out there and you owe it to your self and others around you to have a chat with somebody, no better time than today

In regards to everyone even remotely mentioning gambling, equals suffering for someone…. If you look at it like that, then you would appear to be totally right but you aren’t. Not even close. Let’s look at the extremes…

You post one big win snap on [here] every so often. Influence [x amount] people into the negative side of gambling.

Fake streamers 247 multiple streams per person, multiple videos per day per person, vast plethora of gambling marketing spreading across social media and the internet, all paid for by the industry. Influence [x amount] people into the negative side of gambling.

Look at the state of the numbers. Look at the goal of you vs them.

Cherry meets cake : Now look at the fact that this conversation/debate is allowed here. It isn’t allowed there.

I think one thing missed when discussing streamers, more so the questionable ones, is that on a website such as this most people were hardened gamblers before streaming really took off. With that it was easier for us to see the bullshit and know the reality of what life online is like. Now you take a naive 18 year old who stumbles across xyz streamer and starts watching them and in turn becomes conditioned to thinking its easy to win online and £10 spins are the norm. They don’t see the obvious fakeness of a queer hat raving over £100,000,000 wins, the insincerity of a middle aged man playing the same slots over and over with zero emotion to the wins. To them thats all they know, when they dip their toes in to the online world using xyz affiliate code for a free £100 they don’t know 100x wagering is damn near impossible. They might win, they might lose a lot, they might get addicted, they might not. The point is we are in a far more advantageous position than them from the outset.

So, with this in mind, when we discuss fake streamers, their actions to line their own pockets are far more insidious than a gambling advert on TV. Granted the advert reaches a wider audience.

The thing is this topic can be done to death im afraid but until there is some sort of regulation on streamers nothing will change, they answer to no one. At least gambling adverts with be regulated by the advertising standards and the casino by the ukgc.

If it were proven, the direct correlation between genuinely fake streamers and the damage possible, then the UKGC could be urged by the public (via mps and petitions etc) to make serious amends via rules policies etc to stop it from happening.

But then, how to stop foreign frauds where our laws have no effect. Age gating happens, how is that enforced ?

What if streamers were ordered to show complete transparency to be able to ADVERTISE a casino ?

How about the fact that if you work in “x” casino or bookie, you are NOT allowed to gamble there ? Is that a company policy or the law ? I am looking for that knowledge atm. If it’s the law, then how can a person be promoting a casino as work or business and be part of the clientele.. surely they are breaking the law ? Isn’t that a massive catch 22 ?

Just been told that not playing in your own company is a company policy and not something enforced in gov.

I think you’d struggle to prove any correlation between only fake streamers and the possible damage because the risk would still be there with genuine streamers.

What would be needed is absolute transparency through regulation. For instance if a casino funds in any way a players bank roll then that needs to be visible. If a player can’t withdraw the money won, that needs to be known, what a player has won and lost for the year/session be shown and lastly independent audits done to validate everything. What could be done is the legislation placed on UK casinos that streamers advertise along with the streamers. Any casino in the UK market cannot have an affiliate on you tube who doesn’t adhere to xyz. That should at least plug a large part of the hole.

<span style=”font-size: 1rem;”>The problem is that the amount of regulation and work that involves would be huge so there would need to be a lot of evidence presented and people petitioning for it just to get the ball rolling. </span>

I think fake foreign streamers will always be a problem and I dony know how you combat them. The same applies for dodgy UK streamers, even if there is regulation they will find a way around it. They’ll just move further abroad like a couple of the more questionable ones have done by going go Ireland to circumvent bonus buys etc.

Sadly though this isn’t a problem that is going away anytime soon, I think eventually it will die down a bit as there becomes less sign ups available and less need to stream and get sign ups.

The other problem is people like that thick Affiliates are fake guy on you tube. He just rants they are all fake and we are stupid if we belive them. If people want to prove streamers are fake or at least certain streamers then they need to present decent evidence not angry rants.

This is old news and has been done to death on old posts. Apologies if that seems rude but this entire thread is becoming a regurgitation of things we all know, think or have discussed. Im sure you’ve even been on those threads.

Repeatedly raising the same whinge for the few remaining souls on the forum is more detrimental than anything as people get bored of it.

So many people get outraged by what goes on but I’ve never seen anyone post anything about any action being taken or petition to sign. Theres no new information confirming the use of fake money, its all rinse and repeat. Yes chip, hideous etc are shysters most likely on fake money and moved to Ireland to get around the ukgc. Rosh is faker than a £9 note. All stuff we know but nothing changes.

they still play with the same group casino they can only play on fake money, if they spend their own money I have nothing against any streamer, but streaming on fake money is just a scam,(Boboslots,Azzigambling,Spinit,Angry slots) 4 of the stream from the same group casinos and they push  ppl to join same casinos by offering a crapy prize if you join and spend on a casino,
