Just had my usual payday bash on the slots-usually lose, but today’s been OK. I watched Craig a few months ago and he mentioned about setting limits so after my last loss, decided he might have a point

I only play at Rizk now so set some deposit/total expenditure limits and its really paid off today.

I deposit and play, and if I get to a certain amount in profit, I withdraw and carry on, and if need be, redeposit .. So long story, relatively short?…Totak deposits £680,total withdrawals £1500…..left £200 in to play with but I’ve hit my betting limit for the day so no option but to stop

Its not a perfect system by any means, but certainly stops me from spunking the monthly wage away in one fell swoop?

Well done mate. Limits are certainly the right way to go. I think the wagering limits used to frustrate me, as I like to choose when I stop and at what balance etc.

I think the deposit limits are deffo the way to go though! Your system would still work as long as you aren’t able to reverse withdrawals ??

    All the best

Unfortunately, even those are changeable…….. will stop the urge but, if you plan for a binge and haven’t specifically asked the casino to prevent you from raising them, then tomorrow could be curtains. I think 24 hours for removal or increase to limits is standard – even in the real world ??

Wagereing limits were great on Videoslots but I haven’t seen them anywhere else. Stops the dangerous, drunken Martingale runs – especially against those definitely rigged machines 🙂

I like how mr greens limits work. You can’t  change a monthly limit until it’s the start of a new month, weekly, new week, daily, new day ect.  Saves you thinking its payday tomorrow I’ll take limits off now so can spiff  it all tomorrow. They should all be like this in my opinion. 🙂

Setting limits didn’t work for me. I used to open up new casinos account when I reached a deposit limit.

Personally if you aren’t in control of your gambling you should sign up to gamban. However each to their own and I accept that for some people deposit limits or wagering limits can work. For me tho I always just signed up to a new casino once I’d lost the limits in the ones I was signed up to. Christ, nektan has like 5 million skins lol… I think I signed up to about 40 of them over a 2 month period.

So yeah, I had literally no control over myself when I was a gambler. These days I manage to keep it to £100 a month spread over 7 sites in 10 or 20 limits which become available at different times during the month so I’m always close to having a small fix and over the last year I’m up over 1k unbelievably rather than risking 1k every day heh.

I couldn’t control myself. I ended up joing gamstop, been gamble free since 21st Nov 18. Still recovering but it’s more manageable.

Totally get this, and I’ve been the same in the past but I’ve self excluded from that many in the past after spitting my dummy following a loss that I now can’t be arsed with all the verification nonsense to go to another

Completely agree that what suits one person doesn’t suit another, but my gambling is very much “spur of the moment” these days so I find the limits really do help keep it under control.

Thanks mate, I’ve been tempted to slot as gamstop period is over but decided against it. I’m scared the same will happen
