[newcomps WANTED $8 Outlaw]

ive had two “sick” nearly wins recently that really do question why i continue to play slots and cards.

1) Last week was playing Return of Kong megaways, £2 stakes, £420 committed, finally hit bonus. Lots of small wins and trophies giving extra spins sees me get £600 back  but on last spin get the final monkey for 2 extra spins at max megaways. Comes in with 22 barrels spread from reel 1 to 6 but reel 2 missing. reveals FEKKING Gorrilla. got few small wins but that missing Gorrila would have had me on 16 lines @ x50 for the win plus x20 for the multiplier x £2 = 32 bl00dy grand  i didnt win ..:( 🙁

2) Switched my attention back to poker. Was playing texas holdem six handed in big blind so last to bet holding 80 blinds but my reserve was quite low. Holding pocket nines, but box one opened all in, box 2 called, box 4 raised allin so playing tight i folded my pocket 9s. box one went allin and box 4 called so 3 players allin. initially looked a good decision with AdKd, QQ and JJ all showing. Flop comes Qd Jd 9s, so now i would have had set and still been behind to 2 players!. flop hits my missing 9 🙁 🙁 but then river hits the 10d. So 4x9s beaten by royal BUT bad beat jackpot woulda seen me win $16000 🙁

Time for a break before a burst a blood vessel or 2

Anyone else care to share similar (or worse 🙁 ) experiences?

Last year I deposit £1000 play only BTG games lost all add another £2000 lost £1950 on danger i had like 5 bonus all pay like 80x 100x join doa 2 on 0.90 bet on my last £50 hit the bonus on my last £4.5 left 2 wild line 3x 3 and 2x another 2 pay me just over £14k,that was my biggest win on under £1 bet

That missing symbol on reel 2 (or any reel), or any near-misses where a 3rd scatter misses by 1 position is known as “gambler’s” fallacy.  The fallacy is by design and slots have been doing it for decades.  The mentioning of Megaways / max Megaways is a red herring.

Another example of gambler’s fallacy is on roulette.  This is where the wheel has landed on black for the last 8 spins, so you bet on red thinking that red is due but it lands on black again.

yeah understood – not the first time ive had big near misses but 32k takes some swallowing. The holdem though was entirely in my control. all i had to do was call the allin, i wouldda lost my $162 stack but won $16k as my share of the bad beat.
