UK government accepts out of date passports as valid ID to access services, such as healthcare, DWP and local government.

A out of date passport is just not accepted to re enter the UK and travel.

Well they just did by not employing a compident Lawyer to do… due diligence
nounLAW
reasonable steps taken by a person to avoid committing a tort or offence.
a comprehensive appraisal of a business undertaken by a prospective buyer, especially to establish its assets and liabilities and evaluate its commercial potential.

Thats what Good compident companies do, before the Actual date of implementation of said laws.

Hi Russ… The ID thing… Out of date I’d will only ever be used for policy’s and not Lawful transactions.

Its the same as flying in the UK where you don’t need ID as UK Law to fly in your own country, but after 9/11 carriers had policy’s introduced (Not Law) and therefore cannot stop you from flying without a valid passport, as its not required by UK Law.

As Mr Green2711 said a Valid ID is only required if the Law says so.
