    Hi all

So I guess most on this forum have had their fair share of time in arcades n casinos over time so heres a little game of guessing a old fruit machine from a particular phrase you remember from the machine.

Ill start with “Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me”

Also if anyone remembers when a machine was guaranteed to pay jackpot or top feature.

Ill start with Spiker the biker , His eyes flashed and it would give you a 4 on the first spin.

Pretty sure most games would flash or turn red when the jackpot was guaranteed….snake and adders eyes would flash …..most of the pubs fruit machines I played on Saturday nights would just turn red …and you’d shit your self going round the boards because you were sure that one day it was going to dick you over…

Homer’s Meltdown used to giggle at the start of the feature and the logo illuminated red… Usually span an 8 first spin as well ?

Yep I remember that, 8 first spin for the skill stop and try hit the +3 cash , then it would normally roll a 4 to get the super jackpot… As long as you hit the +3 cash… Never fucking repeated .EVER.

Yeh I suppose the most common is the flashing or going red. I was trying to see if anybody had any different ones they remembered which wasnt the obvious going red or flashing.

The ” Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me” is from THE MOB. Classic machine , that what it said when it was guaranteed jackpot with a tiny machine logo flashing next to the reels.

Deal or no deals was normally  “Go all the way” then it would be red. Thats the most common pub machine but I only find the early versions any good , one had a £35 jackpot and used to pay good… The newer £100 jackpots are rubbish.

Donkey Kong. 80p hi rise start is usually jackpot. 80p blue hi rise is invincible.

Crazy fruits. Jungle music and mad for it on the display.

Played a dond a few years back. Last press lands a bonus ‘invincible next board’ never ran to the cash machine so fast in my life! Luckily I don’t think any one watched me so managed to get it

I don’t remember  much about these cheats, but I know games like Jekyll  and wild, had two modes, Jekyll and if you landed the upgrade symbols it changed to  Hyde (dropping wilds).., but if you were in Hyde mode , and if you could land a wild on the 5th real it stopped the downgrade symbol showing as it had no where to land…that’s was a deffo £500 + win ( depending on the  machine jackpot it could be higher )

the only cheat I knew of you could physically do ( which still works on the adder and ladders games) you needed three snakes to land on the win line to bonus (this machine was a three reel machine ). if at any time you got two of the snakes on the win line and the third snake one position above on the remaining  reel, the hold buttons flashed, if you held all the buttons when they flashed and hit the play button it would always give you a nudge, and you dropped the last snake in to bonus….although when I played it the jackpot was a £10 quid or something, it would always round up the win so you didn’t need to reach the top for it to jackpot and you’d walk away with a nights drinking money because you would jackpot over and over again with out actually hitting the jackpot tile………..might have to by that machine one day ….

On Grand Blaster Cash knock back all the boards till it started super skill stopping, then take normal jackpot, super skill stop would come in again, I dont think I ever made much money doing it but it was fun. Try and hit an 8 pound fast cash afters board.
