I noticed those fools at fruityslots are doing a 40 hour charity session.    Raising money for charity supposedly.    When I first watched them this morning within half an hour of them starting the stream they had raised “Supposedly “ around £1500.   Out of curiosity I had another look just now,  and they had only raised a couple of hundred quid more.   The problem I have is they are using dirty tricks, really dirty tricks to get the gullable to join up through their links making out they are good guys raising money for charity.   I suspect the initial £1500 was put in by themselves to try to attempt to lure more donations.    If they can raise £1500 in half an hour, why only £200 in the following 12 hours plus?

I did leave a comment on their live screen to this effect, but was banned within 15 seconds.      Dodgy as fuck.   Really imoral using a possibly good cause for your own ends.      If they cared so much for the charity, remove all affiliation links, and donate a percentage of playing funds to the charity.    These fruity fools make me sick.

It’s not that I don’t think they are going to give to charity,  it’s more how they are doing it.   They will gain a whole lot more than the charity.

I think its a decent thing to do.. irrespective of where the money came from. It would only be shady, if the charity chosen, didn’t get any cash.

In fact, i think bandit should do an annual one..So there are thousands of people here, with obviously excess cash to spare.. (if you can afford to gamble).

How often do you give to charity ?

Personally, i don’t give to the soppy ” your £2 a month can save the life of a starving iguana in southern peru’;;.. bollocks.. the country doesn’t have enough money to save and feed even man woman cat dog and donkey on the planet. We borrow billions every year. (which is a crazy different topic we won’t discuss here) but saving everyone, <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>its just not possible</span>. population control in third world countries is the ONLY answer.

But if a war veteran stands outside B&Q wearing his ww2 medals, he gets all the cash in my pocket. People spending their time or effort to raise cash deserve to be supported..

As someone who has a huge amount of knowledge of how charities run,  I personaly would not give to some of the bigger charities.  Especially one of the bigger Military ones beginning with H I prefer more direct action.   If I give to charities or not is something I will not disclose, it’s personal.   Your right about the £2 a month ones,   I was asked to sign up to one of those in a supermarket,  I said I didn’t want the ongoing commitment,  but Id happily donate a few quid.  To the response that they could not accept donations!

What I took offence to with fruity slots is the way they did it.   They were getting their subscribers to donate.   Whilst they gambled massive sums of money.   It was a massive publicity stunt.  They seem to like these.   The other week they were advertising that if you subscribe with them, you stand a chance to win a very small slice of the megamoolah Jackpot!!!  £16 mil or something!     Thats if they won it!    WTF!!!   It’s like me saying I’m buying a lottery ticket on Friday,  give me a fiver and if I win I’ll give you 5% !

Oh.. i didn’t see that.. I take your point.  – Yes.. that sounds a bit…… naff.. to me..  The chances of winning that, must be thousands of millions to 1.

I’m not the biggest fan of Fruity Slots either, especially since they branched out and have a load of new random people streaming from their bedrooms with poor quality green screens to cover their background.

but let’s get one thing out there in the open (if it isn’t already by now!) They are casino affiliates. They stream to make money. If they weren’;t affiliates they wouldn’t be streaming. Ok? Good, let’s put that to one side now that’s sorted.

The charity thing. You say they started off with a £1500 pot. You’re probably right, it’s pretty likely they donated that themselves to get the ball rolling. You checked back later and they had a further £200 of viewer donations. That’s good isn’t it? Hopefully that grows and they give a nice chunk to the organisation they’re supporting.

So MurciPete what is your point? They’re going to be streaming anyway so what’s the harm in giving a bit to charity? And please don’t just repeat your previous post, put new points.

I don’t need to put new points.  I think I was clear enough.   What you don’t seem to be able to grasp is that they are giving a bit to charity yes,  but how much are they getting off the back of it through new sign ups?

They are running a business. They are doing it to make money. I don’t like it any more than you do but sometimes you just have to understand something for what it is.
