    Anyone else had an email this morning from Cryptopay and Coinbase about the Financial Promotion Act?

    We wanted to make you aware that due to the new rules governing Financial Promotion coming into force in the UK, some services will be unavailable for UK Customers. The restrictions will take place on October 8, 2023, at 8 AM UK time, and will last until we are able to meet our regulatory requirements to ensure our UK customers receive the best service.

    The services affected on our platform include the following:

    Existing Customers / New Customers

    Bank deposits;
    Buy cryptocurrencies with a bank card;
    Exchange functionality to buy or sell cryptocurrencies.

    On checking Coinbase I can’t deposit.

    Reckon they are going to really tighten  up on UK crypto payments to  casinos,lost about 5 exchange accounts now, a couple closed without reason,a couple saying I could no longer use their services due to unusual activity being detected by their systems.Dont have an exchange I can use now and with BC game looking a bit dodgy all I can do is wait and see how things pan out.The UK casinos are all fucked up and can see Cryptos going the same way.

    They can’t stop anyone from sending crypto, Crypto Wallets don’t know where payment is going all they know you made the deposit and sent to address

    not sure what changes they making but as the longest wallet exists in the UK you can buy and send crypto

    It’s not specifically about gambling, it is about funding of wallets related to money laundering regs.
