Calzone casino have taken £90 from my bank account on the 28th of may for a transaction made on the 11th of may. But the transaction was approved on the 11th and I played on the slots that day. Calzone are saying they only show 1 transaction but I am £90 out of pocket. If Anybody else experienced any weird goings on like this could they share as I am baffled

Did the funds actually leave your bank twice though, you might want to check ? Sometimes (im not an expert as to how/why) the transaction is approved without funds going out and then later claimed by the vendor so it’s approved at the time but the money actually only goes out later (but it does only go out once).

hope you’re not out of pocket

Thanks cob will try to speak to nick about it and see what he says. Tricky I’m pretty sure the funds was taken on the 11th it’s an account I only use to gamble from so would have known if I had £90 still in there. So basically I’m sure the funds was taken twice. Nothing calzone can do because it only shows 1 payment on the 28th

If you get no change from the casino, and they definitely have taken the money twice, then I would see your bank. They may well chase this up on your behalf.

I’ve had this situation when I bought a ring online. The money 100% came out my account then 6 weeks later once the ring had been made and sent to the seller they tried to take the money again but there wasn’t enough in my account so it got cancelled. I spoke to PayPal who I went through and they had nothing on their end and I spoke to my bank and they couldn’t see any transaction or money coming from my account so somehow £500 got misplaced and it was my fault. Different scenario for you so hopefully they can sort it out. Not sure what actually happened to my money but I think someone either had PayPal or my bank had done something untoward.

There is something called a “ghost payment” which is when you make a payment with your debit card. Here’s how it works:
You make a payment with your debit card – bank/Visa/Mastercard creates a reservation code and reserves the payment for up to 10 days. Vendors can claim the transaction within 10 working days. Sometimes vendors claim the transaction without using the reservation code, which then draws the amount out of your account twice, but one of them is only a pending reservation, which is supposed to be cancelled if not claimed within 10 working days (some banks operate with 3 days instead of 10).
The odd thing here is that it’s taken more than that for you. That’s very odd. I suggest you go to your online banking and check which if there actually are 2 transactions there, and if either of them are listed as reserved. These are usually written in Cursive and/or capital letters and says “reserved” or something similar, while a claimed payment (money that is truly out of your account) is in regular font.

If none of the above apply to you, you’ve been fucked and need to contact the casino and complain. If you have all the documentation to prove it, take it to casinomeister and file a PAB, and a player arbitration manager will contact the casino on your behalf and help you out. Trust me, these guys are good help and work fast.
