Just my opinion but i do not believe you can succeed in life with gambling as an addiction. The signs are there from your original post of maybe a problem. Spending that amount of cash in a week is surely not just for fun for the average person.

To me its all or nothing.. Quit gambling or gamble. There is no in between. (disregarding affiliation side of the game where there is potential you make a living from it)

The thing is you talk about your gambling life… How old are you?

My advice to anyone in there early teens/twenty’s is too knock it on the head altogether , the sooner the better.. you will enjoy life so much more and get so much more out of life WITHOUT gambling.

Sorry if i went off topic from the original post but at least if one person reads this and thinks about quitting gambling at least i’ve helped them.

Sorry if this sounds condescending as i am not not trying to be just hopefully make realise gambling is not a good lifestyle choice and you will NEVER win in the longterm

    Late teens 18+ LOL

I have had my problems with gambling from a early age 18 onwards and over them years ran up debt, running up credit cards but always worked and paid them back gambling help to make them debts and pay them debts back over a good five years so around 23/24 years but then I got a great job with great pay and also got in to buying and selling almost anything to make a profit as a side line and which I still do to this day but now the money is spent on family things but before hand it was the casinos in the week days and weekends for me but like I have sed before seen finding out I was having kids(twins) at the age of 28 I banned myself from all the casino in England and most if not all  online accounts did it for 2/3/4 years ban as I knew bring up a family would not help gambling as much as I did so just went cold turkey and not going to see it was easy it was hard as ever but I did it until being on furlough the other month I know crazy did a few weeks playing at paddy’s and hitting a monster win on reel king mega ways to which I cashout and closed down the account and not touch it since. Don’t get me wrong it’s in the back of my mind still but watching the bandit and others has made my journey gamble free better as watching them and getting my kicks was and is good enough I am a family man now and have been for the last 4 years and will be gamble free. And I think u are rite u will never be a winner in the long run but u can have good highs along the way and yes very shit and dark times too. And I am 32 years old.

Had a stinker in Ladbrokes last week. Lost 500 playing low stakes on Bigfoot and Eye Of Horus. Waited 4 hours for first bonus which paid 60p and biggest win that day was 6 quid.

4 hours in the bookies which is not to bad then as u got 4 hours out of £500 back when bookies were in my life I would be in there 10 mins for £500 lmao. Nah all jokes apart that’s shocking this is why I would go back bookies they’re a joke biggest rip off in the gambling industry I say but saying that it does not help being a greedy gambler like how I was back in the day some thing I would go in first £50 win it up to £300 and still carry on to hit a jackpot madness. Hope u stay out the bookies for a while mate

I used to play with Intercasino when they used to give a monthly £50 matched bonus with very fair T&C’s. I played for about 12 months and would have estimated I was about 1-2k down. Anyway I had a 6k win on Dolphin King and when I tried to withdraw they would only let me electronically withdraw about 5.5k; for the rest they send me a cheque.

Turns out is was money laundering requirements in the early days and I was trying to withdraw more than I had deposited. This meant I had actually lost about 5.5k with was sobering moment to realise and since then I always keep a close record.

My biggest win was 11k in one night on Paddy Power (various slots/games). Sadly I lost it over the next two weeks. This is the problem all gamblers face, we never stop. Gambling makes sense when you win, you think you are invincible. What amazes me is how quickly a small loss grows into a big loss, even with the best intentions.

This is to true mate, I will always be down when it comes to gambling and as over the last few months getting back on the gambling rollercoaster it’s been harder to stop and after winning it up I have put around 3.5k back in even tho after being 4 years gamble free madness think because I hit so big I feel like u have say in your post invisible I am still up loads off my win I just need to stop again before it comes a big fat loss.
