Evening all, first post after being a long time Bandit fan.

After watching this weeks video and huge loss I started to reflect how far I’m come with my gambling issues and identity a return to some habits I’d really like to stop…

    HELP…

All online gambling has stopped (And I’d guess that’s been the case for 3-4 years.  I’ve self excluded from my local home and work bookies.

But, I live in a sea-side town.  Which means there are lots of arcades which have a huge selection of £500 machines.  These are all within 5/10 minute drive.

Can I self exclude from these?  If different as these are huge sites and you can easily be inside for an hour before you even see staff… Any thoughts or experiences?

    thanks Lee

I believe you can… but it’s more of a talk to manager and stick your pick up in the change booth and if they spot you, you’re out …… but I think knowing they are watching out for you is a deterrent for you as well …….people do it with pubs and alcoholics and casino/ arcade owners aren’t blind to the issues form their businesses ….

I was addicted to fruit machines from age 12. Live in a seaside town with arcades. Once I got a good job and put all my wages in, in a few hours I decided it had to stop. I decided to only have £5 in my pocket when I went in so worst case and £5 down and after a while I got bored. The odd slip up but fruit machines I put £2 a week in when I go too pool and that’s it.

In the pubs you see people go mad …. I had a summer in a pub and constant “ pint of Stella and can I get the change in quids “ a £2.50 beer was costing £10 because it all hit the machine …. and when they introduced the note acceptor thing …. well fuck me …… probably the worst thing ever … government should had  a look at that  …….yeah I know you can still get change and all that, but pubs only carry a certain amount of change so at least there was a break in playing whilst you were getting change or stopping you play Because they didn’t  have change to give…..I’m sure many a fruity gambler should be slightly better off had the machines not been able to accept notes ……
