To be honest, even when I do go and watch the races I always take a crossword book with me to entertain when I’m tired/bored of watching hamilton win for the millionth time. Them 5am walks to silverstone on race day just to get good places to sit ready for the track run are awful, but the after parties always make up for it :p

Open an ISA and put it in there asap. Don’t tell her if you don’t have to, but it’s there for emergencies. If you want to tell her, then tell her the full truth and that you’ve been having the odd gamble, and you’ve won a lot of money you think could help towards things.

My other half hates it when I gamble, but hates it just as much when I win because he thinks it’s going to make me want to play more. I play when I lose so a win won’t make me play more.. I’ll play just as much, if not less. All I’m saying is think about what you’re going to do before you do it  🙂

Is there no chance your wife’s parents can watch the kids for a few days whilst you go up to Scotland to sort the house? It’s no place for children to be, even when they’re old enough to understand.
