On the customer service side I completely agree with eejit as I have done that job, not for casinos but many other things.. One example was for a washing machine company, I couldn’t give a fuck about washing machines but it was the only job I could get at the time and the ammout of cunts who’d call me up and give me a load of abuse because their clothes shrunk or some shit was unreal, as if it was my fault the retards couldn’t wash their clothes right, it’s true you should expect a bit of shit in those jobs but to berate an individual because you disagree with the industry that puts the bread on the table is out of order man

 

It’s like those climate protesters giving a load of shit to the shop keeper in a petrol station as if that poor minimum wage dude was personally responsible for the actions of the oil industry

I know what you meant and I sort of agree, I don’t think the official stats are wrong per se but i agree they can be made to be deliberately misleading, theresa may will tell you there are more people in work than ever, which is true but it also counts zero hour contracts who work an hour a month so it is <span style=”font-size: 1rem;”>misleading as fuck. </span>

I hear what your saying and regarding the homeless situation in your town I have no idea, I do know the local councils will try to mask the problem though.. I have known a few people to be homeless and they did mostly suffer from substance abuse issues which led to their situation and what happened was they where given a place in a hostel which had a curfew and a complete ban on drugs/alcohol which for somebody with a hardcore drug problem was not an option so they slept rough with the “homeless community” so while these people are actually homeless, on paper they have a bed and therefor can’t be counted in the official statistic.. Which I agree is shady and misleading

 

With regards to the gambling suicide debate, the link I posted states 21 deaths in 15 years, I didn’t see the source linked by geeza but I’d look at it with an open mind but until I do see it I can only go on what the ONS says

Someone I used to know once bumped into a parked car in an aldi car park broke their break light and drove away but was seen on cctv and arrested for leaving the scene of an accident a few days later, they handle traffic crimes differently for some reason so they should get the bastards
