I hope you all get sorted, and get back what you are due (i.e unfair interest charges). I had considerable involvement in claims against these companies when I have been acting for other people to recover charges etc. The £13,800 refund someone above mentions is a huge result, the highest I ever saw was about £9k but so many claims at that level is why the major players have gone bust and more will follow.
In response to comments about people not taking responsibility for their own actions, you are completely disregarding the fact that lenders also have a huge level of responsibility to the borrower. That is the sole reason for these claims, and the reason so many are successful – the lender did not follow the required regulations when making a decision to borrow.
If you suddenly found out online roulette was rigged etc, and the providers hadn’t been following the regulations in place to make it a fair and level playing field, you would be happy to claim back your losses. In that scenario you wouldn’t expect people to be saying “you gambled, you lost and now your blaming someone else”.
It’s the exact same scenario, this just puts it into context for you.
