After seeing another member posting a breakdown of their casino history I thought I would check mine! What a mistake that was.

Opened an account in 2015, this was my only gambling account at this time. They have sent a breakdown of my deposit history from this time until now and to say I am shocked is an understatement.

Total deposits £137,900.00 (what the fuck, how the fuck)

    Total withdrawals £69,409.75

I would say 90% of this was spent on raging rhino (can’t help but love that slot)

In April 18 I decided to put a deposit limit in place and my net deposits since this time have been £920.

After I put the deposit limit in place I opened 8 other online casino accounts (regret doing this) and deposited £7580 without withdrawing from any of them. I could have been in profit from two of them but the KYC checks were a no go, due to not having any photo ID and I couldn’t be arsed to get it sorted before I spunked the balance.

Deposit limits are a must for me. Just wished I had done this from the start, wish I had known I could have done this from the start! hindsight eh.

Definitely not proud of the above and need to sort my shit out. Really don’t want to gamstop it! (Deep down i know i should) I think I will start by closing the extra 8 casinos I opened and keep the one that ‘owes me’ I know they don’t actually owe me but still, it’s a start.

I have asked for deposit histories a couple of places, soon adds up, some give you the numbers others just a spreadsheet.

I you deposit winnings elsewhere then you can get big number turning over the same money.

I stopped most of my exchange betting when it was apparent I was paying massive amounts of commission, since I was up and down. The commission far exceeds what ever I would end up with.

I don’t even want to see my deposit histories, net losses etc. – until a few years ago, I spent the better part of a decade chucking money every week (usually several times a week) in to FOBTs on the high street. And the two things I learned from that are a) if I’d never gambled, I’d almost certainly own a house on a mortgage right now instead of renting with zero savings and a barely above zero credit rating and b) fuck Rainbow Riches, there is a special place in hell for that game.

Couple of the things this has highlighted for me

    1 – I am a terrible gambler

2 – I could have saved about  £50,000 in three years

Ps this wasn’t an easy thing to share!

Great thread and I would urge everyone to follow suit and consider what you could have done with the money you have handed over to the casinos

The Bandit has kindly provided access to gamban in this site – I would urge anyone who can empathise with these losses to use it

If you do feel the overweening urge to give away £100’s of pounds each month there are people living rough on the streets of our country who can only dream of having £200 in there pockets to pay for a room for a week in the winter nights

Done same yesterday with William hills account. I lost £5442 last year.  But I never realised how often I reversed withdrawals until I actually went thru transaction history.

Something I am going to try cut out this year

This is an excellent thread and a great indication of the impact of gambling.

I would urge all subscribers to read and consider whether they could be driving around in an Audi sports car instead of a crappy Peugeot 106 for example

The Bandit has provided a gamban link.   The best way for you to make money is to use it. As I suspect that at the moment 99% of you are losing it
