‘Everyone knows slots are rigged’
…by way of RTP and house edge, yes.

Read this official article by the UKGC:
“Compensated game control
This is a complex topic but in simple terms:The game software constantly checks to see how much has been awarded in winnings in the recent past; and, knowing what the current %RTP figure is and what the target %RTP figure should be, the software will either slightly vary the odds of achieving a win, or slightly vary the value of any win, for the subsequent series of games. Thus, the game will pay out more or less often, or pay out greater or lesser amounts, than it might otherwise do; depending upon whether the actual %RTP is currently below or above the target %RTP of the game.”
So there you have it – as I have suspected many times, if you get a big win on a slot, either go to a different casino or play a different slot. Doesn’t matter if you enjoy it or if it’s your favourite game… if you have too positive of an RTP, the game will then basically go into milk mode until you’ve lost an equal if not higher amount in order to put your RTP back where the number belongs. I have seen this with my own eyes on many occasions – games one day go from one thing to the next, it’s not luck, because there are so many recognisable patterns in them. Reactoonz for example will follow very obvious patterns when in ‘milk mode’, the meter will only ever fill with demolitions/alterations, wild symbols will only ever drop one wild, and in a useless place. Instability will place wilds in the most useless of places, over and over and over, and you will not get a win above 10% for thousands of spins.
Despite always knowing it, this is a tragic discovery on my end. I think I am simply going to stop playing slot machines or anything except table games now. It is absolutely shocking that this is allowed to be a thing – luck is luck, either you get lucky or you don’t – stop bringing computers and bullshit numbers into it to try and keep a baseline. I want to be able to hit five 10,000x’s in a row, or not hit a 10x for 20,000 spins. Just keep it random and fair. Slots have gone to the dogs as of the last year or two, but this is the nail in the coffin for me.
