Excellent idea Haz. Cash for kids or a homeless shelter would be more than grateful for any donations this time of year. If I had the money to, I would have opened up a kitchen for them all this year. Breaks my heart seeing the genuinely homeless people out on the streets. Same with kids in orphanages or in care. I’d love to adopt the lot of them.
As for posting about losses, I think it’s really important for people to do this. 99% of gamblers know how it feels after a bad session. Never mind if you’ve just blown your whole bank funds for the month. Speaking out can prevent self harm, and suicide.. and if that means telling a load of strangers on the internet how pissed off you are with your self and what you’re supposed to have spent the money on, then so be it. I would much rather see begging threads on BIAM than a news paper article about someone killing themselves because of gambling/gambling related debt. We help if we can. We dont if we cant. I try to help with way of words.. shit but it helps sometimes.
