I dont know of anyone on the forum who goes to g/a meetings, though I’ve been for counselling through gamcare, a long time ago. It’s not as easy for people to relapse now gamstop is up and running, and the ukgc is tightening up. Unless someone walks into a bookies/casino that they havent excluded from, it’s unlikely they will be able to gamble.

I would be suprised if this was the case. If it is true, I cant see many people being happy about it 🙁

There are a lot of recovering addicts on the forum, myself included. We come here for support as well as somewhere to vent. I agree that some people are better off away from their addiction, but being here helps me, and then we, as a community can try to help other problem gamblers.

The best thing to do is what boonermandingo said, and tell your mrs. She will be able to take away your money, and give it to you as and when you need it. This will hopefully stop your urge as you dont have the money there to gamble with.

I know what you mean though, I get that urge a lot. I try to distract my mind when I feel like that though. I colour something in my daughters colouring book, or read a book. It might help you to think of something to distract your mind. I hope you’re okay!
