I’ll be honest…Gamblers Anonymous did nothing for me, don’t know if it because the average age of the group was quite a bit older so I couldn’t relate, the fact I had to make the effort to travel there and back every week (passing many temptations on the way!) or what but it wasn’t doing anything for me so I jacked that in.
Instead my parents have had full access to my banking since 2011 so can see if I have a massive blow out straight away, just having that in the back of my mind and I haven’t dared do it! I do have the odd sneaky couple of hundred now and again but I’ve realised that it doesn’t matter what I win I just blow it all back within a week anyway so don’t even bother with that recently! It helps that most of the arcade and bookie slots are terrible these days, haven’t gambled online since I was doing £100 spins (I look back and think WHAT THE FUDGE!) on Rainbow Riches online once, got the pots!…yeah BRONZE 90X…it was £9000 but tilt juice of the century…blew that the very next evening…including a couple of real play 4 figure spins (WHAT THE FUDGE!) and haven’t had a single bet online since, so in some ways a blessing in disguise that story!
