Hi all,

I’m writing this to vent and hopefully helps get this out of my mind!!

A few days ago I lost about £4000 chasing 4 Rolls on Monopoly Live. It hadn’t hit for hours so thought it must be “due” (worse ever gambler fallacy!) and kept betting on it, slowly increasing the bet each round. In the end it took 7 hours before it hit!!! I had about £25 on it in the end, and it went for about 20x…

I finally stopped my session and went and cooked dinner and watched TV. I went to bed and woke up early about 6am so thought I’d play some Live casino again and give Monopoly Live another go (surely 4 Rolls couldn’t take that long again to hit!). After a few hours playing without 4 Rolls hitting I had enough and gave up and went to try Mega Ball instead…??‍♂️

Then roughly 5-10mins later Monopoly Live hit 10x Chance, 10x Chance, 4 Rolls… Literally the best possible Jackpot scenario (I’d only ever dreamed of getting 10x 4 Rolls!!). Of course I was playing Mega Ball (and losing all my money on that too) and missed out on the Bonus Round.

It went for just under 10,000x…???

Not only had I spent thousands chasing 4 Rolls the day before, but just 5-10mins before the Jackpot hit I was playing the game!! Betting between £1-£25 in 4 Rolls…?

I now can’t get this out of my head. It would have been life changing money…

£1 bet would be nearly £10,000…

£10 bet would be nearly £100,000…

£25 bet would be nearly £250,000!!!

How do I come back from this?! I’ve now got to survive a month until Payday and I can’t get “what might have been” out of my head. Being in lockdown isn’t helping things either. I just can’t believe that I stopped playing the game so close to the Jackpot hitting, and why couldn’t it have hit in the 7 hours I was playing the day before!!?

I feel absolutely sick to my stomach. People say you can never win at gambling but that was my one chance to prove it can happen!!?

Anyway, thanks for reading and any suggestions how I can get over this I would really appreciate.

    Jimmy

Oh and what makes it even worse is that I wouldn’t normally be ever playing at 6am either!?

Last time I was playing roulette, a while back now, it kept neighbouring my numbers and hammered me until my balance was zero. Big, heavy loss. One of the numbers I’d been furiously betting on every spin was 25 red, had £75 on it by my final spin. Guess which number it landed on the very first spin I couldn’t bet on because I’d run out of money?

You need to get over “what might have been”. It wasn’t and you didn’t. No more sense thinking about it than “what might have been” if Bonanza rolled in 100 full ways of diamonds at x15 in the bonus. It didn’t, so let it go.

I’m never one (as all of you know) someone who buys into conspiracy theories, however I’ve read up a lot about this particular win, and apparently they had their maintenance break and kicked all players out (which is standard). However, this was the first spin since reopening the wheel, and apparently most players had their bets rejected – some reports of anyone who bet over €6.

Chances are this is complete nonsense, and even if it was legit, doesn’t mean that it wasn’t just an unfortunate coincidence. But still, very odd.

In any case, @thatfamousjimmy – I completely understand how you’re feeling. It’s sickening, and it is a tough one to get over. But I guess as has already been said, it’s sort of irrelevant. Fact is, you weren’t playing when it hit, and as you say, you wouldn’t normally have been playing at that time anyway. Still, I empathise with you, I really do. Chin up!

I feel your pain although not as bad, last year i was playing spin a win a lot on sky mostly losing covering 20, 40 and the multipliers, for once i was sensible which is so unlike me and cashed out £50 to use another day even though i was £200 down which normally i would play until i am winning or lose it all. Anyway 2 spins later it went 7x 7x 2 x 40 and i was betting 4 quid on it so would of got just under 16k which would of been life changing to me, still can’t quite get rid of the ‘what if ‘feeling as i struggle along, i have never been sensible since lol.

    Ok, here’s mine…..

A couple of years ago I was doing sky’s super6 religiously. The place I worked had a league going on the sky site for a cash prize at the end, so I was dead eager to do well week on week….

I was also registered in a non-official ‘super6’ league with a recruitment company I used. Basically they carbon copied the fixtures of sky’s super6 each week onto their own league, except instead of a 250k prize, they would give out vouchers for the team who got the most points each week and then a final winner at the end. So I would always do exactly the same scores on both leagues the official sky one, and the makeshift rec company one. I was doing well on both and was likely going to come first or second in the work league.

Anyways .. my birthday weekend came up and I was getting on it pretty early with my mates. I log into the rec company league and set my results for the 6 fixtures. I go on sky sports and lost connection on my phone (was on the train on our way into Liverpool) so fucked it off thinking I’ll do it later.

The Monday comes around after a messy weekend and I’ve got an email of the recruitment company…..

They were congratulating me for my incredible predictions, and I’d won the weekly prize…. Where would I like my £50 vouchers etc….

I’d only fucking gone and called every single score correctly. On the fucking shitty pointless recruitment company league comp!

ID FUCKING FORGOT TO FILL IN MY PREDICTIONS ON SUPER6. IF ID REMEMBERED WHEN THE TRAIN GOT INTO LIMESTREET I WOULD HAVE BEEN £250K RICHER THAT WEEKEND!

Took a long time to get past it. But you do mate. Things happen and you just need to move on.

I still tell that story to people now and It makes me feel nauseous haha

Yeah mate I’ve had that on Roulette before when number/s come in next spin after £0 balance! Or come in when I’m trying to re-deposit!!

I get what you’re saying but the difference with slots is you’d never know if you’d win big if you leave it. I watched that bonus round live with my own eyes… swear down even worse level of sickness walking in on your girlfriend banging your parents? (not that that’s happened to me thank god ahahahaha)

Tbh mate if I remember correctly (I was in absolute shock and despair remember!) the total win for all players was about £2.3 million?

Which is very surprising considering like I say £25 on 4 Rolls would be £250,000 for just 1 player. I’ve seen plenty of streamers stick £50+ on the 4 Rolls! So no big stake players were playing at the time…?!

Thanks you have helped me as 1. If I was kicked out I for sure would have played something else as I’m an impatient bugga lol. 2. IMAGINE if I’d had been playing and my bets GOT REJECTED!! Because ever so often this has happened to me in the past and always hit 1 or 2 and I’m like “oh nice saved some money there”… for sure a bet rejected would be even worse ever feeing!!! Especially when there is no reason for it to reject them.

Anyone know the odds on that hit? I was thinking well at least it shows the game isn’t rigged like you hear all the time in chat (motorised wheel and all that!) but now you’ve said that about the rejected bets… 7 hours with no 4 Rolls then hits that? Makes you wonder if it was building up to it!!! Because when people were chasing the 4 Rolls like me I swear the bets being made on it were HUGE???

Tin foil hats at the ready!?

Yeah bro that’s pretty bad! Especially with just £4 bet for as much as £16K??

See I’ve never had that anywhere near that big actual “miss before this incident in my 10 years+ gambling. I’ve had a lot of normal misses when it had the potential to be jackpot but then flips over to 1 or something! Worse I had on Dreamcatcher was 7x7x then just flipped over to next section after landing in 40 before… like millimetres in it!! And I had like £25 on it I think (chasing 40 of course?) but that’s sickening in a different way as you don’t feel singled out that you missed out, EVERYONE did. I should be happy for people winning but I just have those green eyes for envy!

OMG man I totally knew where this story was going as I play Super6 too!

That is absolutely sickening too. All 6 correct scores!! Did anyone win it that week? The other thing did you always keep same predictions in work thing as Super6? I know I’ve done different predictions when betting to what I did on Super6???‍♂️

Worse I’ve had on it was getting all 6 correct results on my predictions but not betting on them. When just £10 would have got me £10,000+… I thought that was bad! My work colleague came very close to getting all 6 scores once few years back, she literally needed like 1 goal and we stopped working, shut the retail shop and watched the match screaming for it!? Then one of the results she had already predicted right changed very late on, it was over, then in dying seconds of course the team she originally needed to score SCORED!?

I was so upset as well as in the excitement she promised me 10% of the jackpot!!?

Yeah I’m not about the tin foil hat job by any means, but Monopoly Live is one of the few games I have been openly critical of in the past. I think most of it operates legitimately, but certain parts are far too susceptible to almost lawful manipulation.

Getting your bet in and having it rejected there when it landed would be so much worse. I think I’d top myself.

Please no one top themselves. ?

I’m suspicious of Immersive Roulette. I don’t think it’s fully rigged in the sense they either manipulate individual’s results or use magnets or whatever to control exactly what number a spin lands on, but I do believe they can somehow control the section it hits to within a small range of numbers. I can literally tell from watching the dealer’s initial spin (and particularly the speed at which they set it spinning) whether it’s going to land in one of my sections or what I call the death zone and I can do this consistently with about 90% accuracy.

    Hi all,

I must admit Monopoly live got to me for a while as well.

I think it’s because you can go back and look at the history of when these big wins happen and then ask yourself the whole what if question.

I did see some guy claiming he always chooses to play after this technical break / dealer change as it’s got a history of rolls and decent multipliers coming in.

I have also noticed most big wins come in the early hours tho which is convenient as I guess it’s when there player numbers are at the lowest.

Im not in the everything is rigged category but I do feel this game is manipulated and a dealer can spin the wheel to avoid certain areas when they wish to.

People say they cant see the wheel on a screen or anything but they have enough sideways glances while preparing to spin to know how much force they need when they do release to avoid a large section of the wheel.

    Well that’s my opinion anyhow!
