So I’ve unbanned someone recently and it seems it’s got some peoples backs up. Now before we start I liked Blacko he made me laugh with his comments.

But to the point aps took a lengthy ban due to the damage his comment caused. But he did not mention any casino in particular. And in that sense I would have had to ban a well liked member of this forum for posting about fruityslots link to non gamban casinos. Which would have made it easier to get round than what aps said.

Needless to say the well liked member didnt get banned as I just had to view it as news for that reason i cant not unban aps. It’s a final warning so he knows to mention anything like that again.

My final word is just get along folks. I dont ask for much just want a place you can all chat is all.

He did name a casino in particular though and that resulted in me losing £1200.

He shouldn’t be allowed back here when he never has had any positive input to the forum in the past, all he’s done is cause trouble for members and cause some to leave.

He’s done it twice in the past and I for one don’t trust he’s not gonna do it again, and it be visible for hours before someone is around to do something about it

He was subject to some pretty nasty abuse (worse than JB at his peak on a bad day) which at least in the context of his recent thread was entirely unwarranted and undeserved. You don’t have to believe in always giving someone a second chance but Seedy has given him one in this case and unless/until he does something to screw it up I think he deserves to be treated with the minimum level of basic civility we all would give any other member.

Also, I’m on Gamstop, I found a UK licensed casino a couple of months ago which is not on Gamstop so do you know what I did? I signed up for an account and then immediately self-excluded for a year from it so that I can’t sign up to it and play in future. I did that without ever depositing or placing a single bet. I know very well what it’s like to have issues with gambling but you will never beat your problem if you’re not willing to take personal responsibility for it and instead blame others for making gambling accessible to you. That forum member did not make anyone deposit, gamble and lose money and you can always find a way to gamble if you really want to. I’m not saying it was okay to name any casinos not on Gamstop, of course it wasn’t and it was right he got a lengthy ban for it, but in my view that doesn’t make it his fault other people lost money because of their addiction either.

This is more like his 5th chance after been asked not to mention sites bait people or entice them into lapses. Some members also feel the name of the site was available to view on the forum for too long.

To be honest, I actually commented on his new thread saying most deserve a second chance. I was actually one of the first to call him out on his posts before his ban. I can’t say I like the guy, I think his attitude is awful.

I think an apology is needed from him to be honest. I’d like to see that he has changed. From his posts since coming back it doesn’t seem to be the case – I get the impression he still feels he has done nothing wrong.

I feel the same Bio. I’m not one for getting involved in things like this unless I’m in a mood, but I still stick to what i said about the person in question coming back with a different identity thing under your watch seedy. It would have been a fresh start for cp, you know who it is so could ban straight away if it was to happen again, and no one would know who it was to hold a grudge.

Well in the case of things not getting taken down quick enough there is only so much that can be done.

But at least this is a civil debate about a situation rather than what was being said in the previous thread.

I do however have an idea on a better way to monitor the forum. And will put more thought into it.

Massive error of judgement letting this guy back on in my humble opinion. I remember reading the original thread which caused the (rightly so) uproar with total horror.

I know this isn’t GA, but what he did was actively encourage a compulsive gambler doing really well in his recovery, to gamble. That’s akin to putting Peter Sutcliffe in charge of the hand held tool department in B & Q. Its that reprehensible.

I’m guessing that the majority of people on this forum actually aren’t compulsive gamblers, so maybe they can’t understand the severity or potential consequences of what this piece of pondscum did. If you’ve ever been at rock bottom because of gambling, you will.

And the first thing he posts is a “You too could turn £25 into a few grand” thread, including glorious screenshots of huge wins.

This person is a cunt. An unadulterated, fully-fledged, badge wearing cunt.

There are a whole load of issues here.

What he did before the ban was ignorant at very best and horribly destructve at worst. I think its a combination of the two to be honest.

A lot of people place a great amount of personal value and investment on these forums which builds a community and support system. The problem is that in reality its a faceless forum on the internet about which a lot of people dont care or see it as something they can bulldoze through thoughtlessly.

This chap is someone who doesnt value the site, his lack of remorse for his actions and his comments yesterday prove that. The fact seedy tried to garner him a little support by possibly elaborating a bit on his request to return and he then shot him down says it all.

He doesn’t overly care about the site or what anyone thinks of him so with that its pointless arguing with him or kicking off. The absolute best thing anyone could do is ignore him. It will soon get boring trying to be like that if no one acknowledges youre even here.

Seedy did the right thing giving him a second chance but i think the way it all quickly degenerated shows how it will continue though. Just ignore n crack on, nothing can be changed about what has happened only thing you can decide is what will.

Ok really it just seems to me that whatever I say or do has no sway on here makes me wonder what the point of keeping an eye on this place everyday is! I’ve switched Aps to be banned from the forum. You didn’t even give him chance to apologise, I can’t say that posting a casino like he did was the smartest thing to ever do as it damaged some peoples recovery. But I would have at least expected you to have respected my decision on the matter.

I do take responsibility for depositing, i said when i posted the day after it happening i take responsibility, he didnt force me to deposit but i know full well if i didnt see that i wouldnt have lost that large sum of money.

I do have restraint, before that night i was over 100 days without a bet, and its been 87 days gamble free since. Im just saying without seeing that it would have been 190+.

I don’t mind him back on the forum if he has positive inputs, but everything before his ban was negative with no remorse for his actions, even since hes had locked threads due to throwing around the c bomb left right and centre, i just dont see the need to have him back where its just running the risk of other people making the mistake i did

I have said previously it wasn’t great about the link to a unregistered casino and i feel for the people who fell of the wagon due to temptation. And I get that his first thread was not an apology and it was a thread on a session he had? Maybe given the chance he could have apologised is what i’m saying. I’ve seen plenty of members post about there session but I have NEVER seen there threads turn into people just throwing shit at a person.
