What’s everyones views on the current state of the world? Like politics/brexit/trump/PC Culture etc..

Disclaimer: I’m not looking to start arguments everyone has a different opinion so let’s respect them even if they’re the opposite of your own 🙂

Brexit – The country needs to hold Cameron accountable for the state it is in (I voted leave, still do) but he basically threw the hand grenade with an attitude of “no one will ever vote leave”. When it didnt go his way he took his pension and is now sat off enjoying life. He is a grade 1 twat

Trump – dangerous but influential

PC Culture – Fucking joke. Now over 70 recognized genders in the UK. People need to chill the fuck out and stop claiming everything is discriminatory. If you dont like what someone says or does, either ignore it or come up with a suitable counter argument. Dont start playing the race/gender/sexual discrimination card because someone made an off handed remark so you feel the need to start a movement.

I strongly beleve that most of the worlds problems are due to social media and Mark Zuckaberg (not sure if thats spelt right)

Sounds like our veiws are very similar lol, I also voted leave and was also disgusted by Cameron’s behaviour, but I do think the media hysteria is ridiculous and brexit is not going to turn the UK into a thrid world country lol

I actually quite like trump, I think it’s ridiculous that the Americans voted a non political billionaire playboy to run their country but so far he’s not been nearly as bad as expected,

 

And the pc culture of particularly my generation is insane! It’s like it’s trendy to be a offended, like the white girl who wore a Japanese prom dress and got slated for “cultural appropriation” but only by people who weren’t Japanese, when they asked actual Japanese people what they thought they said they where flattered that she wore it!

 

And I completely agree about social media, seeing everyone you know pretend to be living the best life can make you feel really down if you don’t realise it’s all fake lol

I dont touch social media anymore – facebook was a twat and full of people posting that either their life was horrendous (don’t really see how if you have the time and tools to post on social media) or constant updates such as “im out shopping, heres a picture to prove it”

The PC brigade are fucking nuts. If I misbehaved when i was younger, my dad would give me a quick slap. Stopped me from doing it again (most of the time). Now if you luck at someone funny you can be accused of discrimination – the worlds gone soft.

It worries me quite a lot that it’s mostly main stream media pushing it all out. I despise Meghan markle for example not because of how she looks (except that gormless fucking face) but because she is taking the absolute piss out of our monarchy, spending stupid amounts of tax money and is clearly a social climber but the amount of times I’ve been called a racist for it is unreal! I hate Amanda Holden too but no one’s ever had a problem with that opinion lol

It has the opposite effect of what they want because by bringing up race/sexuality/gender all the time actually creates an us and them divide between people which does lead to discrimination, like the gaesha dress example it’s the exact opposite of diversity between cultures

What price do you think Bandit will write on the tag, before he puts it on his son/wife ie loved one ? If you don’t want to point the answer at bandit, point it at yourself. It’s no drama. And yes, I already know what your answer is.

It proves capitalism is a complete flop and I may add, mankinds worst mistake. As for a solution, that’s a whole other debate.

I’m not sure I understand the example, do you mean selling your loved one?

I know a couple of self made millionaires both who came from poor working class backgrounds and I don’t think it would be possible without capitalism, I do think their should be more of a distribution of wealth but as far as I’m aware socialism has failed in almost every country it’s been implemented in

Don’t touch Social Media – except when job scrounging via LinkedIn or playing in group in WoW – which can be sometimes troll-like and horribly childish. Like all good platforms, the greed allows business and advertising to take over and then it gets so big it cannot be controlled by its communities properly. Zuckerberg is a twat for selling his (??? hahahaha) platform out.

I know mate. It was only a light hearted post. Im not against any discussions on any of the topics on the thread. I just don’t tend to get too much involved. You’ve all made some valid points though. That’s about as much as you’ll get out of me lol. ?
